Loopback connetion issue
Hi, I''m experiencing some troubles with an application in a VM (domain-1) which needs to connect too itself via the loopback interface. It seems that the connection process hang during the TCP handshake. I have a running web server in this VM which run perfectly. Logged in Domain-1, i''ve tried to reach the webserver with telnet but the same problem happens. Even pinging the

答复: Iptables blocks out going connetion some times
Hello, Stephen, thank you for input. Yes, these servers have the same firewall rules, and both of them have the same problem from time to time, most of time they are good. Actually, these servers are newly installed to be used as the Glusterfs storage server, so not much data flowing at this time. >From the sysctl output, I suppose it can't be a conntrack table overflow :

Samba killing connetion
Hello, I have two samba servers setup on a test network. One is the PDC and the 2nd server is just sharing files. I can open up files on the PDC share like an access database file and it will run forever. When I try and run the same file off of the other samba server on the network it runs for 10 min just fine and then Samba will just drop the connection to the file. It no longer appears in

Pthreads Overhead
Hi all, I have been seeing a considerable (2x-3x) overhead when using Posix pthreads and pthreads mutux synchronization on Xen dom0. I am not sure if this is an inherent overhead of Xen or a wrong configuration on my side. Basically, I run a simple benchmark to time pthread_create and pthread_mutex_lock/unlock for 200 threads and the overhead I am measuring for xen dom0 is 1.5x-2.9x relative to

Fw: Xen, full virtualization and Virtual Machine Manager ?
I downloaded and ran the live CD from http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/LiveCD which worked fine on a Lenovo, Intel Core 2CPU 6300@1.86 GHz with 2GB of ram and 80 GB disk space. The next step was to recreate a working version on this machine, using full virtualization of some test OS''s, one goal would be Microsoft Server 20xx and being able to view the console of the guest machine.

REPOSITORY, SERVER, and VIRTUAL OWNERSHIP
Regarding my satellite connection. I have offered a repository and server (operating out of my LAN) to serve Dom 0 and Dom U build contributions -- if maintained by the contributor(s). My satellite ISP indicated that there are bandwidth limitations and if you people get involved and we find they are inadequate I will try to find money to extend that bandwidth. This server will guarantee that

Does any one know how to build a virtual network interface with vlan ID in dom0?
Dear all:     I met a problem recently.     I am using Xen to build my virtual network, and vlan ID is used to seprate different virtual networks. At first I built the network bridge with a physical network device with vlan as its port directly. Then my virtual host could send and recieve normal packets while these packets are encapsulated in vlan ethernet frames once they come into physical

Iptables blocks out going connetion some times
Hi?guys. There is a wierd problem with iptables recently, hopes somebody can help me. I have installed Centos 7.2.1511 on a bare metal Dell server these days, disabled firewalld and enabled iptables.services, and setup a group of very simple rules, as the following: # iptables-save # Generated by iptables-save v1.4.21 on Tue Apr 23 09:15:14 2019 *filter :INPUT ACCEPT [0:0] :FORWARD ACCEPT

Hello ! I which to use Xen in order to virtualize a complete local servers farm, using dom0 in front and multiple domU behind. I''m using an external interface, eth0, on Dom0, and a dummy interface, on which the DomUs are bridged through xenbr0. Virtual backend network
Hi all, I have a root server on which I am using Xen to segregate various tasks (mail/www...) At the moment I have the various domains all bridged and talking to the world via their own IP addresses (dom0 has one IP, the others are in a different subnet). I would like that much of the network to remain the same, but to have a second, virtual network, to allow me to have home directories

virtual MAC address prefixes
Hi folks, We''d like to setup a number of virtual servers as xen instances which would be able to be migrated among physical machines as needed. These servers would host services such a Grid middleware servers, condor scheduler head nodes, web servers, etc.. We would need each of these virtual servers to be available to the outside via a static IP address, and would like to

Managing multiple Dom0''s
Are there people currently managing multiple Dom0''s and making significant use of migration? I''m loking at a potential setup of 16 or so physical systems with perhaps 64 or so virtual systems (DomU''s I suppose Dom0 is also a virtual system if I understand thing correctly, but that''s no twhat I mean here). It seems to me that making heavy use of migration for
