disk performance on server migrated
hi.
i was migrated an old woody samba server to a new lenny samba
virtualized server.
That server is a PDC with random profiles and file server.
Some users are reporting me bad performance in the app shared (all
developed on MS-ACCESS). the memory and cpu reports in the domU show
all fine, but i have some doubts in the disk performance. The dom0 is

NAME/USERNAME conflict
Hi.
we are experimenting a strange issue in our PBX.
By example: if we dial to the 100, the call is answered in 199. We dont
have any redirection for that, but the cli show the same issue when request
show peers. Aditionally, the user 100 use the ip address 192.168.11.100,
and the cli show connected the user from 192.168.11.160 (that ip is
assigned to the user 199)

SJphone behind NAT/Firewall without sound
Hi.
I need connect some LAN stations with SJphone to an Asterisk Server
published on Internet.
My Lan Clients access to Internet using a small linux firewall/proxy
server. I use the next firewall script. That is a simple script with
default policy ACCEPT, and NAT to share Internet. I can connect to
the asterisk server, authtenticate the users in the server, and dial
to any extension, but

Run as root on reboot
Folks
Is there a way to reboot and have a script run without
intervention. During initial setup, I'd like to avoid the manual
actions of logging on as root and executing a command, but instead
have that command run without intervention. The output of the
command would still show up on the terminal that initiated the reboot.
Security is not a concern here. And I don't want to

KVM virsh console to physical console?
I'm preparing to virtualize a Windows server onto a Linux system under virsh.
Initial results are looking good, but an issue that's come up is the need to
log into the Linux system prior to being able to access the Windows system for
updates.
Is there a way to "connect" the virsh console directly to a physical Linux
terminal?
EG: Ctl+Alt+F8 to access the Windows virsh

outgoing calls not working on sangoma A200
Hi.
I have 3 lines connected to a SangomaA200. All was working normally,
but 3 days ago we experiment this issue. The outside callers can
call us normally; but when we try to do an external call, just receive
the message "all circuits are busy".
Only happen with outgoing call. Incomming calls work fine.
if the conf was not modified, what can i check to search the reason of
that

P2V: Headless support
This introduces support to run P2V without X server. Runtime parameters
are specified via kernel command line making it hopefully suitable for
automated migration with a little help of PXE boot.
Patchset is not squashed and represents dev. history.

How to disable tls on CentOS 5 with Xen 3.3.1?
Hi:
I downloaded Xen 3.3.1 source from xen.org, compiled and installed it on CentOS 5. At first boot into xen, I got an error message about tls and told me to use "mv /lib/tls /lib/tls.disabled" to disable it. I issued that command after the first boot. And also tried to remove that directory to /root.
But after that, I still got the same error message about tlsĀ when booting into Xen.

domU only booting with extra = ''xencons=tty1''
Hi,
I''m using Debian 5 (lenny) with Xen 3.2-1. When I try to start a Linux
guest (installed with debootstrap like this
<http://www.option-c.com/xwiki/Create_a_Debian_VM_with_debootstrap>),
the VM hangs right after starting crond. This is exactly before the
login prompt (which doesn''t come up).

what''s correct way of shrinking LVM based domU?
Hi all
I want to shrink one of my LVM based domU''s, but don''t quite know how to
do it.
I have searched the Wiki & HOWTO''s, and they all show you how expand /
enlarge a LVM based domU, but not shrinking it.
So, I stopped (destroyed) the domU, and then resized it as follows:
lvresize /dev/data/cpanel1 -L10GB (It was 100GB), but when I a started
it up again, I

R-related: problem with openvt on Ubuntu 7.04
This is a configuration/OS problem, but it's affecting my use of R ...
Whenever I try to open _any_ vignette (as far as I can tell)
from within R, I get "Could not get a file descriptor referring to the
console",
coming from /usr/bin/openvt, which is pointed to by /usr/bin/open,
which is called by print.vignette to display the vignette.
On the other hand, openvt fails in the

Under my domU i have installed kernel-xen (since it is needed ) , and edited
my grub menu to use the installed kernel.
My grub menu file in domU looks like:
