Multi-partition domain not recognizing extra partitions
Hello, I have been having an annoying problem with a multi-partition domain. This domain has a separate partition for : /, /home, /usr, /var, /tmp and /data. I created it using xen-tools and the custom partitionning scheme option. The partitions are inside a LVM. When I boot the domain, it mounts the / and swap partition but none of the others. Therefore it doesn''t work... I get the

Xen pci passthru problems with kernel -164.6.1
Hi there, After updating a server from CentOS 5.3 to 5.4 my Xen pci-passthru setup has some troubles. The server has two NICs, one used by dom0 and the other assigned to a domU and one SCSI controler assigned to another domU. It has been working fine since CentOS 5.1, when I did the initial setup. After upgrading to 5.4, I get this error when starting the domU with one of the NICs assigned:

Error: Had a bootloader specified, but no disks are bootable
Hi, I copied my root filesystem from one box to a harddisk partition /dev/sda8. I started fdisk /dev/sda and added a bootable flag to partition 8. Then I mounted /dev/sda8, chrooted into it, and ran a grub-install hd0. Then I unmounted it, and tried to start the PVM host, but it ends short after the try to start for the following reason: xm create /etc/xen/vm/VM3 -c Using config file

can't pass pair of PCI cards to single domU
Folks - Any ideas on why I can''t pass a pair of HVR-1600 PCI cards to a single DomU? When I try, only a single one shows up. I can pass them to separate DomUs (though I''m having problems getting the one in the second DomU to capture properly, it does show up and gets recognized by the driver for it). how to resize a partition of a disk define as a physical volume
Hello, I have a CentOS VM with only one disk on a Xenserver. The disk has 2 partitions: /dev/xvda1 -> /boot /dev/xvda2 -> a physical volume for LVM I added 5GB to this disk via Xencenter to extend /dev/xvda2. Usually I just have to do "pvresize /dev/xvda" to have the additional space added to the disk. But for some reason it does not work for this disk. [root ~]# pvresize
