Disappearing TAP interface
I have a CentOS 5.2 Xen host, running several guest domains. Each guest
domain has a single interface assigned to it. I am using both the
network-bridge and vif-bridge scripts.
On my only windows guest, the tap interface connected to the bridge
keeps getting disabled. If I check "brctl show" the tap0 interface is
not present, and there will be several message log entries indicating

[PATCH] [Xen-API] Patch for fixing the rtc/timeoffset entry
This patch rewrites the rtc/timeoffset entry so the VM''s record can be
retrieved with the Java xmlrpc library. If the entry is ''None'' it upsets
the xmlrpc parser. This fixes it, though maybe there''s a better place in
xend to place similar code.

time issue with puppet
Hi,
I have the following manifest that basically syncs the time for nodes really out of sync and ntpd can''t drift the time back fast enough.
The problem is that when puppet executes the catalog, and puppet changes the time, puppet never finishes because it can''t calculate the "run time" since puppet changed the time during the puppet run.
Is this a bug? Should I do

About change of CDROM
Hi All,
We tested xm block-configure command.
Because when the domain image is made, we install it from multiple CDROM.
The procedure of the installation is as follows.
1) The HVM domain is started with the CDROM device.
・configuration file :
disk = [
''file:/xen/test/install-test.img,hda,w'',''phy:/dev/cdrom,hdc:cdrom,r'' ]

How to change the value of a class slot
I defined an S4 class with a slot i. Then I wrote a regular function
that attempted to increment i.
This didn't work, apparently because of the general rule that a function
can't change the values of its arguments outside the function. I gather
there are ways around it, but the Green book admonishes "cheating on the
S evaluation model is to be avoided" (p. 190).
