Problem booting Suse Linux VM "INIT: cannot execute "/etc/init.d/boot""
Hi Folks, I create a file backed vbd to boot a guest VM as described in the Xen''s user manual in section ''Using File-backed VBDs". The Dom0 and the VBD contain Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 (X86_64). I am not able to boot the guest VM. During the boot process the INIT process generates an error saying <snip> Loading jbd Loading ext3 Waiting for device /dev/sda1 to

Xen 3.2 FC6 DomU Kernel Panic
Hello, I am trying to boot a FC6 domU on Xen 3.2 (compiled on a FC6 system). After compiling Xen 3.2 successfully on FC6 and making the ramdisk, I modified the conf.grub as shown below. With this, I was able to boot xen. ------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- # grub.conf generated by anaconda # # Note that you do not have

A query about clustering Idea
Sir, I have prepared a draft proposal for clustering problem. If you have previous year's accepted proposal please share it, that would be very helpful. And also I have attached my proposal, please review it. Samba Very Slow When Using AFS and MS Office (is this a Bug?)
Hi All, I am having a problem with Samba that seems to be a bug. I say this because I read the archives and they described a problem similar to mine and were told that it was a bug in older version of Samba and the latest version should have it fixed. I am running what is essentially a RH 7.3 on a 1.4GHz Athon with 1GB or RAM. I compiled Samba 2.2.5 in /opt/samba-2.2.5 and am using the following

A query about clustering Idea
Hello sir! Thank you for your gentle reply, I have visited to the github repository before but the code was not commented properly still I am trying to understand and figure out the redundant task in the algorithm by reading the code. For the same I asked you if there is any other document or information is available with you which can help me to understand it better would be great. It's okay

A query about clustering Idea
I am interested in clustering of search results idea, I know clustering techniques from the perspective of Machine learning! And I am figuring out the way to implement machine learning technique for clustering search result. I had 5-month back a project on LSI(latent simantic indexing and raking the search result) through that if I am given the TF-IDF matrix then clustering can be done quickly and

clustering technique using lsi
I am still trying to find some faster clustering technique for search result. One technique which strike to me is, using the Latent Semantic Indexing for Clustering the search result can give better results. In which we don't even need to iterate over different values of 'k'(in K-means algorithm) to cluster documents rather we can cluster whole search result in one go. How Latent

clustering technique using lsi
Hello sir, You have interpreted correctly that clustering will be done by generating the ring around the Document(i.e. the basic idea of LSI). But it is not like increasing the radius and the next shell will be another cluster, Rather it would pick one document (based on relevance score) and form a ring around it to cluster the document, then from the remaining documents(not in the cluster but

Load Balance RX/TX data on the same NICs.
Hello, I have a Compaq Proliant i850R, running RedHat 7.1. There are 3 NICs attached to it, 2 eepro100, and 1 ThunderLAN driver v1.14a. This box is being prepped to be a download server. GOAL: Requests are sent to each NIC via seperate IP addresses. All 3 are on the same subnet. All requests are load balanced via a DNS server. We want all requests to exit the same NIC that they entered. PROBLEM:

problems with international dialing
Hi, I'm struggling to set up a plan to allow international dialing from my US location. As I understand it, an international call can have 9 to 15 digits including country code. The problem is that the call always goes through after I've entered the 9th digit. My service provider is BroadVoice, my phones are Grandstream GXP-200's. DTMF is set on the phone to be via SIP INFO and

Trace Disk I/O per guest domain!
Dear All, I am trying to trace all the disk I/O accesses made by the xen guest domains to dom0 domain. I would request for critics or comments in doing the same. Its easy to run "iostat -x" on all domains and dom0 to get the disk i/o utilization stats, but I am just looking if there can be any other way than running this utility in all domUs but using simply dom0 to get all guest
