Moving index files on another disk: no troubles but need more assurances
Hi,
I'm using dovecot 1.2.15 on debian squeeze with maildir, and I want to
move index files out of the mailboxes disk to reduce disk I/O.
I need to get the assurance that the switch is completely transparent
to my clients (IMAP and POP).
I read the wiki documentation and have found this thread
(http://dovecot.org/pipermail/dovecot/2009-September/042665.html),

My name is Sivan and I am a master degree student in statistics,my problem is as follows:
I have a dataset containing gene sequences and I would like to create a phylogenetic tree from it.
The problem that I can't seem to find a function to do this kind of operation. I read the ape package manual and I haven't found a command that takes raw data and turns it into a tree.

random uniform sample of points on an ellipsoid (e.g. WGS84)
I am interested in making a random sample from a uniform distribution
of points over the surface of the earth, using the WGS84 ellipsoid as
a model for the earth. I know how to do this for a sphere, but would
like to do better. I can supply random numbers, want latitude
longitude pairs out.
Can anyone point me at a solution? Thanks very much.

1024-bit RSA keys in danger of compromise
As those of you who have discussed RSA keys size requirements with me
over the years will attest to, I always held that 1024-bit RSA keys
could not be factored by anyone, including the NSA, unless the opponent
had devised novel improvements to the theory of factoring large
composites unknown in the open literature. I considered this to be
possible, but highly unlikely. In short, I believed that

As im hoping you are upgrade straight to Buster.

AW: OCFS 1.0.9-6 performance with EVA 6000 Storage
Hi all,
Sorry to break in, but I find this thread a bit interesting.
Jeram: I'm not very familiar with HP storage and cannot find too much info
on the EVA 6000 array. Is it related to the EVA 5000 somehow, or is it a NAS
array?
In any case, how is the array configured. If the algorithm for hartbeat is
as described earlier (36 sector reads and one write per second (per
host???)) then you

[GSOC 2018] Information gathering
Hello,
I'm Paul Semel, a French student in computer science. I am currently in
my 4th year (1st year of graduate school) at EPITA and enrolled in the
system and security laboratory of the school.
I would be very interested in working on a LLVM project during this
GSoC. Implementing a PoC for an unsequenced modification checker in CSA
helped me discover LLVM. However, I would like to

CTDB+GFS2+CMAN. clean_start="0" or clean_start="1"?
Hi everybody,
I have tested CTDB+GFS2+CMAN under Debian. It works good but I do not
understand some points.
It is possible to run the CTDB defining it under services section in
cluster.conf but running it on the second node shuts down the process at the
first one. My CTDB configuration implies 2 active-active nodes.
Does CTDB care if the node starts with clean_start="0" or
