Cisco MC3810
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to asterisk and trying to get together the hardware to run a few POTS
phone extentions and one or two POTS lines for starters. For these low port
counts, I could just go with FXS and FXO cards, but...
I can get a Cisco MC3810 with a mixture of FXO and FXS ports, the MC3810 comes
with a built in ethernet port and I believe it does SIP too...
Will this mean that I

Announce: Auto/Lazy-migration Patches RFC on linux-numa list
At last weeks' LPC, there was some interest in my patches for Auto/Lazy
Migration to improve locality and possibly performance of unpinned guest
VMs on a NUMA platform. As a result of these conversations I have reposted
the patches [4 series, ~40 patches] as RFCs to the linux-numa list. Links
to threads given below.
I have rebased the patches atop 3Nov10 mmotm series [2.6.36 + 3nov mmotm].

CentOS lists now searchable via MarkMail.org
Hello,
Just thought I'd drop a note here... a short while ago I was searching
for some info on CentOS, and having been exposed to markmail.org via the
R-project <www.r-project.org> <www.r-project.org>I went to markmail to
do some digging. At that time, they didn't carry the CentOS lists yet,
but after a simple request, now they do. The interface lends itself more

How to set user read request while R install
Hi ,
I have installed R on my system and the user access control looks like this
-rwxr-x*---* 1 root root 10578117 Feb 3 11:26 libR.so
I have installed R as root , but the access control for other is not
enabled by default ( at least Read option) .
This can be solved using linux ways, but I am interested to know if there
is any way to mention while we run R or install R packages.

Bug Report. Replay-gain and ogg.
I just bought an I Audio mobile device (Btw, these thigns are the
coolest players on the face of the earth.. might want to check em out).
It plays ogg vorbis files rather nicely. My whole music library is
sitting in flac format. When I encoded my flac files (the majority a
year ago) I used replay gain to save the album and track information if
the flac file.
Unfortunately, the I audio doesnt like

Hello. I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm the guy that wrote kexis way
back when. For those of you that dont know, kexis was written before
flac, and pretty much does what flac does, although its not nearly as
nice or robust. I wrote kexis actualy cause I was interested in playing
around with lossless compression and shorten was about the only tool
that was linux friendly, but had a

commercial support page
So we had that nice long thread about the commercial support page a week
ago. There were a few recommendations on changes to the page. What next?
It is not clear to me if any recommendations were accepted or are being
debated internally or if this fizzled out somehow. Is there any process to
this kind of thing other than a few developers agreeing it a good thing and
then just doing it?

Problem with CHAN_SCCP
Hi, I have an asterisk running great, with 2 cisco 7912 phones converted to
SIP, and a cisco 2600 xl w/ E1 and SIP. I?m thinking to expand the test
adding more 7912, but I prefer not convert all the 7912 to SIP, so I?m tying
to put CHAN_SCCP to work. I?ve get the sources from cvs.sourceforge.net but
when I try to compile, get the followings errors:
[root@asterisk01 chan_sccp]# make

Re: Fixed-point Speex
Hello Jean-Marc, et al:
I'm sorry to have been unclear. I do prefer two separate code bases.
How do you suggest that we get a mailing list together? Please include me.
I'm still suggesting another addition to the agenda ... again looking
to acceptance by a using community. I'd like to see us target
specific processor/s with the fixed point code we are creating ...

this and I'd like to hear about what he tried.
