ioremap()
I used ioremap() function to map the memory behind a PCI device to the processor main memory.
How could xen be forced to use this mapped section for allocating memory for all DomU guests?
Where in xen source code the respective modification has to be made?
regards,
Dinesh C

Source code of DomU/Dom0 context switch resulting from writing DomU''s PTE?
Hi:
>From some of my test I learn that when a DomU modifies its page table entry (PTE), then a context switch should happen to sync the guest page table (GPT) and shadow page table (SPT). I want to learn this part of codes, so could any one here tell me how I can find these codes? I mean codes aiming at: Updating guest PTE --> DomU/Dom0 context switch-->sync PTs
Thanks!

Live Migration of BS2000 DomU
Hi,
we (Fujitsu) are proud to announce the successful live migration of a BS2000
domU (pvHVM). The domU had 32 GB of memory, 8 active vcpus, an active LAN
connection and about 2500 FC-disks online. The domU had an active test load
on 8 disks running and several cpu intensive test jobs.
All BS2000 peripherals are connected via a special pv-driver handling all
devices with just one

Doubt about NIC on domU
Hello Friends
I''d like to ask about how many interfaces can I configure on my domU.

RedHat AS 4up5, and I created two guest machines with 4 CPU''s each, 2 NICs
and 2GB RAM. So, I needed set 3 IP address then I set one IP in eth0,

Windows XP domU reboots dom0 too
Computer: Asus EeePC 1101HA
OS: Gentoo x86 linux-2.6.29-gentoo-r6
Xen: linux-2.6.29-xen-r4
Hi,
I have a problem with Xen running on the Asus EeePC 1101HA:
domU: Windows XP Pro SP2 (then SP3)
Software reboot from domU: reboot XP from inside the domU causes dom0 to
reboot too!
domU reboot from dom0: xm reboot, reboots domU without problem, dom0 is
unaffected
domU shutdown from dom0: xm shutdown,

domU lifecycles, xenstore, and UUIDs [not necessarily 128-bit ones]
At least from the ''xm'' commands'' interface, it looks like domU''s just
disappear after an ''xm destroy'', which I''ve been using to cut turn off
the virtual power switches of domU''s. Is this by design?
I''m trying to think of a good way to identify a domU throughout its
lifecycle, which for me goes all the way from

Putting X into DomU?
Hi, I am not so familiar with Xen. So I need help. I have put Xen (3.2) and
XenoLinux (2.6.18.8) into Fedora8.
After that I have created a Debian-Etch DomU image using Xen-tools. I used
the role scripts to put xdm functionality into it. With only this I tried to
boot the domU image, but got some segmentation fault error while booting the
domU. So following the direction in

Tool to generate a domu.sxp from a running DomU
Hi,
i had the problem, if i migrate a domU to another Dom0, i have to copy
the sxp file tool (and the same problem in a few other scenarios too).
For an easier solution, i created a tool to generate a domU-sxp-file
from/for a running DomU.
If anyone need it too, it is available here (compiled for amd64):

domU network packets get lost on the way to dom0
Hi,
I am experiencing a strange network problem. It looks like some packets
get lost on the way from frontend network device in domU to the backend
vifx.x in dom0.
But first my configuration:
- Xen 3.4.0 from the gentoo ebuild and the pvops dom0 kernel from
jeremy/xen.git
- The system has two physical network interfaces called gblan (Gigabit
Ethernet) and felan (Fast Ethernet)

synchronizing clock on pvops domU
My dom0 systems all run ntpd to keep their clock synchronized, and I just noticed my domU systems all have a little different clock, and that happens right after boot. IE, right after xm create domU, I did a quick''n''dirty check this way:
luca@dom0 ~ $ ssh domU "uptime; date"; date
Password:
16:11:31 up 0 min, 0 users, load average: 0.43, 0.12, 0.04

Communication interface between Dom0 and DomU
Hello.
Is it available a communication interface between Dom0 and DomU to get some
parameteres about DomU without connection via ssh?
For example i need to get information about IP addresses that are allocated
in DomU.
I found following mail-thread:
http://xen.1045712.n5.nabble.com/How-to-get-domU-IP-address-td2510278.html
Keir Fraser said about xenstore, but as i understand to use xenstore
