USB passthrough of all USB-slots to guest
Hi, how can I define passthrough of all USB-slots to a guest with libvirt? With qemu it's very easy: # kvm -usb -usbdevice host:0.* -usbdevice host:1.* -usbdevice host:2.* -usbdevice host:3.* ... This configuration of the VM gets *all* 4 USB-Slots. Every time somewhat USB-device is plugged in the VM gets it. virt-install manpage offers: --host-device 001.003 USB by bus, device

Segmentation fault in 3.63 on 16GB USB
Hi, I bought a 16GB Transcend JetFlash V10 yesterday and am trying to put the fc8 livecd on it (after filling it up with all sorts of other junk :) I've only plugged it into an fc8 machine (from unopened) - nothing else. I also have a Toshiba U3 2GB USB. The OS is fc8 fully updated except the kernel (2.6.23.15-137.fc8) the livecd-iso-to-disk uses the command "syslinux -d syslinux

S3 dispatch for S4 subclasses only works if variable "extends" is accessible from global environment
Not sure why R_has_methods_attached() exists. Maybe Martin could shed some light on that. On Mon, Apr 18, 2016 at 11:50 PM, Kirill M?ller <kirill.mueller at ivt.baug.ethz.ch> wrote: > Thanks for looking into it, your approach sounds good to me. See also > R_has_methods_attached() >

getent passwd does not list trusted users
I am running Samba 3.5.5 on Solaris 10. This is the latest Sun/Oracle provided build. I have an ldap backend for everything (unix+samba accounts, idmapping for domain trusts.) The Samba server is a PDC for a domain we can call "SAMBA." Each samba account is tied to a unix account. I have a one-way domain trust setup with a Windows 2003 domain which we can call

Powercool PCRACK-1200VA patch update
Sorry about the noise guys. Below a significantly improved patch. The main difference is that all calls to usb_get_string_.. have been wrapped in a new function nut_usb_get_string()  that is implemented in libusb.c This was necessary in order to make the bufflen_fix available in libusb.c where usb_get_string() is called in libusb_open() This wrapper function mops up and hides all the work

How to keep samba4 dc work fine when windows dc offline?
I'm testing a samba4 server join AD (had 1 win2003 dc) as dc. Version: Samba4 DC: samba 4.1.1 with ubuntu (172.16.3.8) Win2003 DC: Win2003 SP2 (172.16.3.3) AD domain name: dotest.com The samba server had joined to AD as DC. When win2003 dc online, it seems works fine. When I test win2003 dc online, simulate the win2003 DC was failue, found the samba4 DC can't work fine along. The AD

[Xen-ia64-devel] [PATCH] Add guest_os_type domain config option
On ia64 we have a desire to know the guest OS the user plans to run in an HVM domain. With this information we can make certain optimizations, for instance knowing if a guest identity maps a memory region can change how we handle page faults. In the past we''ve tried to do this via the guest firmware detecting the guest type, but this is error prone and doesn''t allow the user to

S3 dispatch for S4 subclasses only works if variable "extends" is accessible from global environment
Right, R_has_methods_attached() uses that. Probably not the right check, since it refers to S4 dispatch, while S4_extends() is used by S3 dispatch. Perhaps S4_extends() should force load the methods package? The above example works after fixing the check to ensure that R_MethodsNamespace is not R_GlobalEnv, but one could load a serialized S4 object and expect S3 dispatch to work with Rscript. On
