Paravirtualized Solaris Update 6 (10/08)?
Gurus; I''ve been running Solaris 10 on a HVM domain on my machine (running SXCE snv_93 x86) for some time now. Now that Solaris 10 Update 6 (10/08) has been released, I tried creating a Paravirtualized Guest domain but got the same error message I got previously... # virt-install -n sol10 -p -r 1560 --nographics -f /dev/zvol/dsk/rpool/sol10 -l /stage/sol-10-u6-> Starting

[LLVMdev] Erlang
Hello, How would you implement an Erlang feature such as the ultra-light processes? Is llvm prepared for similar situations? I would appreciate some insight on this. Thank you very much, .alvaro.castro.castilla.

[LLVMdev] Erlang
Hi Álvaro, Your question is too vague to answer with any accuracy. Could you be more specific? -bw On Jul 24, 2008, at 1:08 PM, "Álvaro Castro Castilla" <alvaro.castro.castilla at gmail.co m> wrote: > Hello, > > > How would you implement an Erlang feature such as the ultra-light > processes? > Is llvm prepared for similar situations? > > I would

[LLVMdev] addPassesToEmitFile
Hi, Long time ago (llvm-svn june 2008) I asked here about a way to output the assembly code of my JIT generated code to a string, so I could use it to read it on the screen. I came up with this solution: std::string Err; const llvm::TargetMachineRegistry::entry* _arch = llvm::TargetMachineRegistry::getClosestTargetForJIT(Err); std::string FeaturesStr; llvm::TargetMachine*

I appear to be seeing the performance of a local ZFS file system degrading over a short period of time. Well, I've been before hours trying this, but soon after I sent the email I found something. However is quite intriguing. I just changed the order of and the static libraries that I was linking. How can this be possible?? I'm using Cmake for building my llvm projects, so I choose the order and I pick the .a libraries I want to link by hand... Thank you, alvaro 2009/3/8 Álvaro

When you say 'static libraries' do you mean static libraries or shared objects (.so)... Because if you mean shared objects, then it could very well explain you crash. 3.0.2 hvmloader
Hello! I want to run windows in xen. My linux distrution in ubuntu 6.06 amd 64. I downloaded and installed xen 3.0.2 from binaries. I found that hvmloader is not included in binary distribution :-( So I try to compile it from sources. I get following error: cpp -P -DDEBUG -DTEXTADDR=0x000D0000 vmxassist.ld > vmxassist.tmp ld -o vmxassist -m elf_i386 -nostdlib --fatal-warnings -N -T

It seems the "machine check exception handling" breaks HVM guest
Hi Jan Beulich, > changeset 15414: 3cf5052ba5e5 x86: machine check exception handling With the c/s, when creating HVM guest, I can only see a white Qemu window. :( Can you have a look? Thanks. Xen 3.2 and Big Real Mode support?
Hello, I read in the announce of Xen 3.2.0 released that it has "preliminary support for a wider range of bootloaders in fully virtualised (HVM) guests, using full emulation of x86 ''real mode''" . I''d like to know what is the level of the emulation of x86 ''real mode''? I ask that because I tried to install OpenSuse 10.3 (I used the iso file

RE: A question on vmx loader in xen - how and when rombiosis loaded into memory
Thank you. I notice the system then jumps to F000:FFF0 to execute. But because VMX is turned on, switching to real-mode would incur problems? I don’t find any clue to turn on the vm86 mode as Readme in the tools/firmware directory puts. [LLVMdev] Asm output while executing
Hello, I'm trying to catch assembly output and do some formatting for its presentation while being executed. I face a problem, which is clear from the error, although I have no clue on how to do it otherwise. If generating the code for its asm output and then for jit execution I get: ********** static llvm::MachineFunction& llvm::MachineFunction::construct(const llvm::Function*, const

A question on vmx loader in xen - how and when rombios is loaded into memory
A "main" function is defined in Xen-3.1.0-source/tools/firmware/hvmloader/hvmloader.c. In this main function, rombios, vgabios and vmxassist are copied to specified address, with following commands memcpy((void *)ROMBIOS_PHYSICAL_ADDRESS, rombios, rombios_sz); ... memcpy((void *)ETHERBOOT_PHYSICAL_ADDRESS, etherboot, sizeof(etherboot)); .... But after searching the whole

Asignación de objetos
Buenas! <- ?. Sin embargo, la mayoría
