Weird Rails 2, Candidate 2 error: welcome aboard app env. link broken?
created a new project, then did rake rails:freeze:edge to pull into it
Rails 2, candidate 2. Then script/server webrick then check the "about
your application''s environment link and get a "500 Internal Server
Error"
Is this a bug? Or something to do with using rake rails:freeze:edge?

Error with Rails 1.1RC1 and Properties page
I just tried setting up a simple Rails app, after updating to the
1.1RC1 version of Rails. Generating a simple scaffold worked fine, and
WEBrick started fine with script/server.
I then went to the http://localhost:3000 page and clicked on the
"About your application''s environment" link, and an error was
displayed:

Recognition failed for "/rails_info/properties"
Hello. I can''t figure out why I''m getting the following problem, or
how to fix it.
I have Rails 1.1.0 installed on both OS X and Solaris, and in both new
and old projects, and using either WEBrick or lighttpd, I get:
Recognition failed for "/rails_info/properties"
when lining to it off the welcome to rails page. I get the following
errors through the console:

WEBrick and OS X 10.4.5 problems?
Has anyone who is running OS X 10.4.5 and the security patches
thereafter noticed that WEBrick is no longer functioning? I have a
machine at school that I believe to be patched with 10.4.5 but not
with the latest security patch and WEBrick seems to run fine for it.
However, on my machine at home I can''t get WEBrick to successfully
run even freshly generated apps.

Anyone know why the rails_info/properties link on the 1.0 welcome
page would be dependent upon irb? I''m playing around with some
different Ubuntu configurations, and if I don''t install irb, the
properties link doesn''t work and I get a debug stack indicating that
the problem is caused by not being able to require irb.
This isn''t a drastic showstopper or

Confused about 1.1 installation
Hey all,
I just upgrade to Rails 1.1 and it seems to have gone fine (from 1.0).
However, when I create a new rails application and start it with Webrick, I
get this error when viewing my "Applications'' Environment"
Recognition failed for "/rails_info/properties"
So I went looking for the Rails installation. I found rails-0.14.3 and

Hiding and expanding form fields?
Hi, I''m wanting to create a form where some of the for fields are
hidden until the user clicks the advanced link. BTW, I''m looking for
the functionality similar to the Rails Welcome page (i.e.
http://localhost:3000). The relevant link hear is as follows:
http://localhost:3000/rails_info/properties
In short, it seems to be a expand and collapse functionality using
AJAX.

RoR works with lighttpd, not Apache
Hello,
After a recent system rebuild, I am now reinstalling Ruby on Rails on
Mac OS X. I have gotten it working, sort of, and can''t understand what''s
wrong.
If I load script/server, I''m told that it found lighttpd and is using
that. I load localhost:3000 and I see the Welcome Aboard screen and the
link "About your application''s environment". And

"About your application’s environment" Effect
I was wondering if there is a Rails method that does something similar
to the "About your application?s environment" link on the "Welcome
Aboard" page you get when you first install Rails.
What the link does is make and AJAX call, then blind down and up using
AJAX.
Thanks.

rails 2.1.0 doesn't find my rails app
I''m upgrading from rails 1.2.3 to 2.1.0. I got all my 1.2.3 tests to
pass in 2.1.0 with no deprecation warnings, renamed my views, replaced
all the config files with a fresh "rails --force /path/to/app" and
fired up mongrel. Problem is when I visit the homepage of my app,
rails serves that default page that says "Ruby on Rails: Welcome

dahdi-monitor in France
Hi,
I would like to tune rx/tx gains using dahdi-monitor for a system which will
be connected to french PSTN.
I'm not aware of any public phone number in France I could call to get a
"normalized 1004Hz signal".
My questions are :
1. Does such numbers exist ? Is there a directory somewhere listing some of
them ? Do you think regulations could make providing such numbers mandatory
