Can''t start xend
Hi everyone, I managed to install xen 4 on ubuntu lucid. I managed to read around what kernel configuration options are needed. The problem is that xend can''t start. If I try to run it I get errors from some python scripts. virt-viewer can''t connect to xend, also. I followed the steps in the Xen 4 wiki and the links from Boris'' blog. What should I do? These are the

Can't create new Xen domains using libvirt on CentOS 6.5
Hello, we have a strange problem on a fresh install of CentOS 6.5. On the server we want to use Xen to host paravirtualised guests (the system has no hardware virtualization support). To manage the domain we would like to use libvirt. Xen and libvirt are set up as described here: http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Xen/Xen4QuickStart http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Xen/Xen4QuickStart/Xen4Libvirt When

"Boot loader did not return any data" to make HVM to PV
Hello I''m trying to convert a HVM to PV dom0. The domU is a 10SP2 SLED ( Kernel 2.6.16.60-0.21 i386) and is a SLES11SP2 dom0 (Kernel 3.0.13-0.27-xen 64bit). The truth is that every tutorial I see it differently and I do not know where this error. When I start the domU, pvgrub shows the options but when I select the kenel-xen, returns the error "Boot loader did not return any

Stub domains broken in Xen 4.0?
When I try to use stubdom-dm in lieu of qemu-dm, the guest domain crashes almost immediately if I specify an emulated NIC (''vif='') in the guest configuration file. If I don''t specify a vif, it works fine. If I use the same configuration with qemu-dm instead of sutbdom-dm, it works fine. Is there some reason QEMU emulated networking doesn''t work with stub domains

[BUG, PATCH] xen-4.1-3 xend/XendDomainInfo.py#device_configure() TypeError
Hello, I noticed a bug in Xen-4.1-3, which is also still present in xen+git. I know that the Python xend is deprecated, but I''m stuck with xen-4.1 until xen is usable with libvirt, so my patch might still be helpful for others. This is a follow-up to <http://lists.xen.org/archives/html/xen-users/2012-11/msg00069.html>, which still keeps me busy. /xen/xend/server/SrvDomain.py

Re: Re: Unable to pass device to IOMMU
Sorry to duplicate my issues onto the list - I thought I had looked through this thread before and seen a different error, but apparently Adam and I are running into much the same thing. I'm seeing exactly the same "Failed to assign device to IOMMU" along with the "Device not owned by PCI Back End or pci-stub" in these scenarios. I have not gone back to previous versions,

I got around that by moving /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/xen to
