kernel: 4gb seg fixup messages...
Hey everyone,
I''ve searched through all of the previous posts and tried everything
mentioned but I am still getting these messages. Is there anything
else I can do? My host machine is running CentOS 5 w/ Xen 3.3.1. My
Xen VM is also running CentOS 5.
I''ve tried doing:
# echo ''hwcap 0 nosegneg'' > /etc/ld.so.conf.d/libc6-xen.conf && ldconfig

4gb seg fixup messages on fc6 DomU, echo "hwcap 0 segneg" > /etc/ld.so.conf.d/libc6-xen.conf doesn''t work
Hi,
I am using the kernel-2849 src rpm to compile a pae DomU, but i get a lot of
printks and the DomU doesn''t give me a shell (just goes on printing 4gb seg

My DomU kernel is 2.6.18-prep and it looks like i have the right libraries
in /lib/nosegneg.
any suggestions?
regards,
radhesh

Re: 4gb seg fixup errors fc6
It is a quite "old" post but the same error at debian etch

Hi. I recently upgraded to fc6. I''m using the fc6 supplied xen packages.
However, now all my VM''s are logging entries like:

libc6-xen not used on AMD Geode LX system
Hi,
I'm trying to install xen+Debian Etch on a Geode LX system. Xen
boots fine, but although the package "libc6-xen" is installed I have a
large number of such errors:
4gb seg fixup, process syslogd (pid 1878), cs:ip 73:b7f24610
All processes triggers it, and from what I've found on the web it's
a sign that libc6-xen is not recognized. Indeed:

Odd one way RTP on SIP to SIP calls
Hi everyone,
I'm having an odd problem with one way RTP on SIP to SIP calls.
I have two SIP servers, one is an Asterisk and the remote SIP server
is a Nortel SIP server.
When a call comes to the Nortel server through the PSTN and is routed
to the Asterisk, audio is fine. Two way RTP and no problems. When a
SIP client registered on the Nortel server calls the Asterisk, the

Problems with xen: what do you need in the bug report
Hi everybody,
I have some issues with the xen package as distributed in etch. I have
tried posting on the xensource lists as well as debian-user without any
success. So before filling a bug report, I would like to know what
exactly do you need in the bug report.
The problem: I am using etch on a dual athlon 4G of ram. I am trying to
setup dom0 and domu with the package xen-3.0.3 and the right

Xen and TLS, -mno-tls-direct-seg-refs needed?
Hi,
The Gentoo-Wiki about Xen suggests, to add "-mno-tls-direct-seg-refs" to
CFLAGS and to recompile the whole system. So it seems, NPTL will work
without problems (and without performance drawback) after that.
Sweet!
But i carefully read http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenSpecificGlibc,
and it says:
"On 32-bit x86 platforms, Xen uses segmentation to provide protection of

/lib/tls rename in Debian Lenny
Hi!
I''m installing my Xen server with debian lenny, because I had some
problems with etch intstallation and SATA AHCI.
I installes xen from sources, and everything went ok. But when I
restarted, I can see the message telling me to disable TLS moving
/lib/tls, but I don''t have that directory! I tried installing
libc6-xen, but the message keeps appearing... Any ideas?

1.6.1.10 Music On Hold
Hello.
I just upgraded from 1.6.0.9 to 1.6.1.10 and it seems that the Music On Hold
functionality has changed (or is bugged?).
I have Aastra 6757i and Aastra 6731i phones, and now when i press the
MusicOnHold button / change lines on the phone, MOH no longer starts. It did
this in v 1.6.0.9.
The invites received are exactly the same, only 1.6.1.10 doesn't ever start
MOH.
Is there some

Problems with Wine on Debian
Hello all,
I am fairly new to Linux, so I hope that the following problem is not just me being ... new to Linux.
I have been trying to install Wine on Debian (Etch 4.09 I think it is called). I first tried to use the
apt-get install Wine
command followed by the winecfg (creating the .wine folder), but when I tried to run the notepad.exe (i.e. with the command wine

CDR problems -- two call legs create only one CDR. Using ForkCDR() not even working.
Hello,
When I bridge an incoming and outgoing call (attempting to simulate
call-forwarding) I'm only getting one CDR -- that of the outgoing call.
A (PSTN) calls B (residing on Asterisk) and the Asterisk calls C (cell phone
on PSTN) and bridges the call.
The only CDR created is from B to C. I have even tried using Answer() and
ForkCDR() to get two CDRs, but to no avail.

Password unused in vnc console
Hi folks,
I''m updating my xen server from a dom0 on debian sarge, using a self
compiled xen 3.0.4 and a kernel 2.6.16, to a standard debian etch using the
deb packages xen 3.0.3 and kernel 2.6.18.
On the old server, all my hvm machines use vnc console and a password is set
into xend-config.sxp and it works nice.
On the new etch server, with the same hvms and configuration files,

Migration to centos 7 and program seg faulting
Everything on Centos 7 seems fine - except - my program.
I am trying to compile and run on centos 7.
Everything compiles/runs on C6, the executable from C6 runs on C7.
when I compile and run on C7 - I get a SEG fault.
when I debug:
gdb program
break main
run
I get a seg fault at or before main
What might I be looking for in this case?
Thanks,
Jerry

[Bug] Seg Faulting in index.rb:718
Hey,
Ferret is repeatedly seg-faulting my mongrel servers on the same line:

I''m using ferret 0.10.11. I haven''t had the time to dig into yet, it''s
on the backburner right now - I just keep several spare servers and

[LLVMdev] Possible issue with ARM/MC/MachO fixup
Hi everyone.
In ARMAsmBackend.cpp, in routine DarwinARMAsmBackend::ApplyFixup()
there is a curious call to getFixupKindNumBytes() - which can return
1,2, 3, or 4 depending upon the FixupKind
The code in ApplyFixup() seems to be lifted from the X86.
AFAIK, the initial Fixup.Offset() is always divisible by 4, at least
for ARM mode - i.e. it is always at the instruction boundary.
it looks like
