Reserved Memory release
I had temporarily started a VM, and it has allocated the memory for it. I have realised that after turning it down, the memory allocated to it, has remained reserved. Now, I need it for Dom0. So, how do I release the RAM that is reserved for VM, and make it available to Dom0? Is reboot the only option? _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list

Query - Issue creating VMs when not using bridge that Xen created, but using ovswitch.
*Hello,* I have installed Xen as Hypervisor with OpenSUSE running in Dom0. I want to use ovswitch (ovs) instead of the bridges that Xen created. In order to do so, I installed ovs in dom0 just like for the plain Linux. Xen has replaced eth0 with peth0, and has created a bridge named eth0. And eth0 is connected peth0 interface , vif2.0 interface (VM), and everything is working fine. Now I delete

1 host, 1 nick, 1 regular bridge, 1 local bridge, 5 vm
So Working on CEntOS 5 I am trying to sett up Xen with 2 bridges, one that connects dom0 and most of the domU to the physical card and the out to the network. Got that figured out no problem, now i want to have a second bridge that runs a local network for all the doms that doesn''t connect to the network. Wrong size on a domU partition
Hi. I need more space on my domU server, so i create a file image to attach it to the domU. But when i load that image in the domU, show a size very different to the create. I create the file with this command dd if=/dev/zero of=/xen/domains/SRV03/opt-disk.img bs=1024k seek=30720 count=30720 (The idea is create an image disk with 30GB, but when i check the disk on the domU show 64GB.)

Where does PyGrub run?
Hello, I am still confused: does pyGrub run in dom0 as root? as it says in here: "PyGRUB used to act as a “PV bootloader”: it runs in dom0 as root, opens the PV disk image, reads its GRUB menu.lst, presents a GRUB-like menu to let the user choose a kernel which it copies to the dom0 filesystem, it then closes the disk image and eventually tells the domain builder to use that copy. virtual serveres
I am in the process of building a new machine to replace several older servers. I am considering running several virtual servers on one box, all linux for host and virtual machines using VirtualBox. Is it possible/advisable to configure shorewall on the host to act as a firewall for the virtual machines, each having one or more static public IP address? Any pointers, suggestions and/or
