xen 3.2.1 - How to boot ISO image
Hi All, I have working CentOS xen guest (domU) inside in Debian xen domain (dom0) and here is the domU''s config file <http://fpaste.org/paste/7295>. How could I put the proper syntax inside of domU''s config to instruct the domU to boot the /data/CentOS-5.1-i386-bin-DVD.iso during starting of domU? BTW, I am using xen-3.2-1. Thanks, James

VNC access console of paravirtualised DomU
Hi, I''ve seen this asked a few times, but I just can''t work out whether I am misinterpreting how this is supposed to work, or if it is just broken in my setup. What I want is to be able to see the character cell console of DomU''s via VNC. As far as I understand, when I create/startup the DomU, then a vnc server should start listening on my Dom0. I have tried every

[Xen-research] ISO test Downloads Availability ?
Hi, I seem to remember that there used to be ISO downloads of Xen available, for people wanting to give it an easy way for a test drive, and to submit (automated) feedback on which machines and configurations Xen ran (in)correctly. However, I do not seem to be able to find these ISO images for download at Xen.org anymore. Has the project stopped making these useful test images - and if so, why ?

Installing 3.2.1 on Debian Etch
Hi, I have been testing XenServer 4.1 and I have migrated to Xen 3.2.1 due to the lack of PCI passthrough in Citrix XenServer. I''ve spent 6 hours this evening installing backports packages and/or compiling the source in a fresh Debian Etch install. But still my DomU is crashing. I suspect I have too many versions floating around now so I will try again from scratch. What is the simplest

Xen - multiCPUs per socket setting?
I''m still trying to figure out how to get my Xen installation on a 34-CPU machine (8 quad cores) to recognize more than one CPU per socket. It seems to default to one CPU per socket on this machine. Win2003ServerEnterprise will support 8 quad cores (32 CPUs) in a native install, but I can''t fathom why it won''t when installed under Xen (OpenSuSE11.0). Thanks for any

help a newbie please
Hi list readers, I am an experienced developer with only nominal configuration talent. These days, mostly I use ubuntu linux, but have used Debian, WhiteBox, CentOS, RH, Fedora. I have been using Sun VirtualBox to very great effect and hope for better performance by installing and using xen. I also intend to use Dom0 exclusively as a host, and not install any other packages. Instead, I expect to

Xen 3.0.4 + CentOS5.2 "Could not mount root filesystem."
I''m trying to install Xen 3.0.4 But It couldn''t mount root filesystem. I''m using the board, loads AMD SB750 chipset. I''m guessing the reason that is the lack of sata driver in 2.6.16.33-xen. So, when I copy libata and ata_piix driver from other driver from compatible kernel source, could it be running well? And, could you advice about copying drivers?
