AW: Xen, IRQ-sharing and PCI passthrough
Florian,
I read already here and there that you shall not use shared interrupts in different PV DomUs,
although I never found a written statement. But behaviour is exactly as you described, thus
I took care that cards that share an IRQ are in the same DomU/Dom0. I also selected my
motherboards accordingly.
When I lately discussed lately with someone about MSI, I had the hope this could help,

PCI Passthrough not working
I am having trouble getting PCI Passthrough to work from Dom0 running CentOS 7 to DomU runnning Debian 8
I am using Xen 4.6 with CentOS kernel 3.18.34-20.el7.x86_64 on a Dell Poweredge T430.
I think I have set it all up correctly, but I see no message when putting a USB device into any of the USB slots on the DomU
There are three other DomUs running, but I have no need of PCI Passthrough set up

PCI Passthrough on Xen 3.3
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi everyone,
I am currently considering to upgrade my Ubuntu Hardy Dom0 from Xen
3.2 to 3.3, but I am a bit concerned about some of my DomUs that rely
on PCI Passthrough. Are there any restrictions or problems with PCI
Passthrough in Xen 3.3, anything I have to look out for, especially
with the Hardy Dom0 kernel in mind?
Thanks,
Paul.

NIC PCI passthrough
Hi All,
I have configured a domU (netdom) to connect direct to a NIC using PCI
passthrough. The NIC is now hidden from dom0, and hence dom0 goes off the
network. Is there any way to configure dom0 to connect to the network via
netdom. How do I setup a backend driver in netdom and frontend driver in
dom0 and other domUs for connecting to the network?
I have only one NIC on my host, and I am using

Yes, you can put the 'Tested-by' from me, I'm perfectly fine with that.

PCI passthrough - pci interrupt gets disabled
Hi there,
I''m running Xen 3.2.1-rc1-pre on a Ubuntu 8.0.4 server (kernel 2.6.24-19-xen).
I have some network cards which are passed through to the DomUs.
''Normally'' everything works quite well. but sometimes when a DomU
crashes or has to be shutdown, the pci interrupt of that DomU gets
disabled in Dom0. After that happend there is no way (at least I

Xen, IRQ-sharing and PCI passthrough
Hello,
I''m seeing problems with Xen and IRQ-sharing PCI cards which are passed
through to a Xen DomU. As I''m not sure whether this is a problem with
Xen or with the Debian Xen Kernel (2.6.26-13 from lenny) I''m using, I''d
like to ask here before posting a bug.
Reproducing the problem goes as follows:
1. Put a PCI card in the machine and make sure it shares

pci passthrough question. Do I need VT-D ?
Hi,
I really need help. I spent 2 days already on this pci passthrough thing.
I''m using Xen 3.2.1 with Centos 5.2 64 bits on intel VT. I''d like to
use PCI passthrough and I don''t think I need VT-D functionality.
I''m trying to pass PCI 12:01.0 to my domU guest.
I got this error when I use "xm create /etc/xen/hvm_centos_2.cfg"

Multiple VMs VGA Passthrough Success Report
I just wanted to drop a note to say that I have managed to get VGA
passthrough working with multiple cards and domUs.
The cards I am using are quasi Quadro 5000 (modified GTX470) and quasi
Quadro 6000 (modified GTX480). (Here is an older article about modified

PCI Passthrough in
Is there any information available when one can expect OpenSolaris to
handle PCI Passthrough als Dom0?
This thread:
http://opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=45875&tstart=135 makes
me think there might be some work going on...
Thanks

Re: VGA passthrough
Hi,
sure I can give you some info, but unfortunately as explained here
(http://lists.xen.org/archives/html/xen-users/2012-06/msg00392.html),
dual vga is broken for me currently, too. But i guess this is only a
matter of finding the currupted changeset.
In general, I was never aware that this is even a problem. I used to
simply hide both graphic cards from the dom0 at boot time via the

[PATCH] xen: fix PCI passthrough for devices w/o iomem
Hi Keir,
Some device have I/O space but no mem space so checking iomem to grant
privileges to DomUs is not enough.
Please apply this fix to unstable and xen-3.3-testing.

Xen developers,
After an upgrade of my Debian Jessie dom0 and domUs, my passthroughed

This bug was probably introduced in Debian Jessie sometime
between 2015-12-30 and 2016-01-08 as 2015-12-30 as 2015-12-30 was the
last time I upgraded without any problems according to my dpkg.log.
