XEN 4.3.0: Hanging xl restore processes after reboot
Hello all,
after XEN 4.3.0 with Kernel 3.10.9 has restored suspended (saved) Domains there are still some processes around
which from my point of view should have disappeared after restoring.
This entries are still in the Process list:
root 3347 1 0 09:30 ? 00:00:00 /usr/local/sbin/xl restore /var/lib/xen/save/frntsrv01-v7

vif-route script not getting domU-IP (vif-IP)
Hi,
I''m using the XEN 3.4.1-pre4 Hypervisor in Routet Mode and I''m facing
some problems when I start the DomU.
In detail, it means that the DomU IP-Adress will not be implemented in
the Kernel routing table after starting the domU via "xm create /<path
+configfle>"
After making a "netstat -nr" it will not show the IPadress bound to

netbios
Hi all,
My NT environment cannot recognize my SAMBA servers(Bad IP address when ping
from MS DOS prompt) and after I restarted the nmbd daemon it can see my SAMBA
servers. Does anyone know why this happens? Is it there is a change in the
WINS server's database? Please advise.
thanks & regards,

qemu disk cache mode
Hi all,
I can''t find any good talk about this subject and would like some insights
and advices on the cache side in xen.
I discovered that a domO power outage can lead to a severe filesystem
corruption of the domUs. The domO is a dual disk dell server with a PERC
controler in writethrough cache mode, the disk cache is disabled, the
scheduler in the domO/domU is NOOP, the domO is holding

Bash-Completion for samba-tool
Hey list,
arriving home from SambaXP, it was really nice. That darth vader cake was
super sweet :-)
Hearing some people talking about how much they'd like bash completion
for `samba-tool`, I've put together an ugly script that does that.
It's a very dumb script (I'm boldly calling it script), but it might make
someones day a little bit easier.

Problem with incoming and outgoing calls via TDM
Hello all.
Please, I'd like to know if somebody can help me with this problem.
I have successfully configured a PBX with Asterisk 1.4 and a Digium analog card with 4 ports.
This PBX has a lot of incoming and outgoing calls, and works perfect in general, but there are some extrange cases where an incoming call is bridget with an outgoing call, and the caller that is calling TO the PBX can

AGEod American Civil War vs. Wine 1.1.18
Hi,
I'm trying to run AACW (and WIA) under Ubuntu 8.10 x84. I installed Wine 1.1.18, Winetricks and installed AACW and patched the game up to 1.13b. Unfortenately, the game won't start because of an error ("Exception EAccessViolation dans le module AACW.exe dans 00004054. Violation d'access a l'adresse 00404054 dans le module 'AACW.exe'. bcmxcp: stop whining (and log spamming)
corrupted checksums happen all the time with the 6-port serial card,
even when only using one port (and I don't give a shit about the other
ports, if anybody has a one-port laying around...)
so stop whining already.

[Bridge] Sparc Bridge problems
Santiago,
I appreciate your offer. I'm not really a kernel hacker, however I do know
C and I would be willing to try if you point me in the right direction.
Here is my first attempt using Debian running on an UltraSPARC:
debian{root}:/root<512>strace -f -F -v brctl addbr br0
execve("/usr/sbin/brctl", ["brctl", "addbr", "br0"], [/* 16 vars */]) =

ethool for e1000
I recently noticed that after starting xend ethtool no longer work for
my e1000 card. In my 2.X box which is a P4, ethtool is working after
xend start. Same version of e1000 on both boxes.
The unstable box is a
Tyan 2462 SMP, FC4 dom0
The 2.X box is
Dell P330 UP, Centos 4.1 domO
Until xend start ethtool is fine, in both setups I am using the e1000 as
eth0.

Online-UPS Xanto support status?
Hello there. I use Online Xanto ups'es so I did some googling for
their support in nut. Turns out that...
- networkupstools.org talks about an 'optiups' driver in the
development version (http://www.networkupstools.org/compat/dev.html -
by the way, the web page says 'stable' in the title and headings just
like the actual stable one)
- Andreas Thienemann seems to have a

No mapping on second fileserver
Hi,
We recently switched our NT4 Domain to AD.
We have 2 AD serves using sernet packages on debian buster with bind9
dns backend, isc-dhcpd updated by the dyndns script.
Files are served by a AD member server (AKA fileserver) on debian
buster, too. It's using the original debian samba packages.
However, I am still far away from calling myself familiar with samba 4
AD :(.
Nevertheless, I

The keytab is generated as described on [1].
