Xen 3.0.1: create NAT Rule, Internet ppp0 stops
hi, i installed a fresh Xen 3.0.1 installation and setup ppp0 (Dom0) for Internet. Everything is working, till i want to create the MASQ rule, for Internet (DomU and real clients): iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o ppp0 -j MASQUERADE after that, i can''t ping anything to the internet. My old Firewall Setup used for Xen 2.0.7 stopps working too. Also "iptables -L" over SSH

OT: routing between eth0 and ppp0 WITHOUT NAT
Sorry to post this here, but since last week I've posted to Fedora's mailing list, pptp-devel's list, and linuxgeneral forum. No one has given much for answers, or the people that have replied have not understood what I'm looking for. Hoping someone here can. For the record, I'm doing this on FC3 not CentOS. Anyway, if anyone can provide assistance I would be very appreciative.

VPN Routing issues from local IP to Big Internet IPs
Ok ladies and gents, I give up! I just can''t find a solution to the problem. Setup: I have a linux box with 2.4.22-1.2197.nptl kernel running 2 eth and one ppp connection over one of the eth for VPN tunneling. I have 2 needs: - masq and forward internal lan hosts via the tunnel on PPP and then on to the big internet. No problem there. All works fine. - Forward ppp0 native

ADSL ppp0, persist
Hello guys, I have two ISP's connected to my router. One via eth2, second one via ADSL modem, with ppoe doing on my Centos 5 . The problem I have is, that when ADSL fails , interface ppp0 is removed. This also removes my static routes configured for this interface. I do not want that, as I have load balancing configured and default route is removed when ppp0 interface disapears. This is my

Newbie ADSL configuration, ppp0 can't activate & config not found
I am frustrated. This is a dual boot box, Win XP (Spanish) and CentOS 4.4. The phone company man came today and installed ADSL to the WinXP side and that works fine. I can't get the box online, while in CentOS 4.4. The ADSL router has a fixed IP address (192.168.1.1) and he configured it to get the IP from the ISP via DHCP and get the DNS servers automatically. When I try that on CentOS (which

ppp0 like eth0
Dear friends, a pointer to howto very welcome please. Shorewall runs on my laptop. Now is quite well configured when it is attached to my LANs (home or office). From times to times I use it while traveling and connect through a GPRS modem which shows up as ppp0. What is the simplest way to configure shorewall so that when ppp0 goes up (well after shorewall is already running) it will treat

[Bug 118] NAT stops working
https://bugzilla.netfilter.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=118 ------- Additional Comments From owlman@ss.pub.ro 2004-01-05 15:46 ------- Well, here I am again. I just spent one hour tracking the newest instance of the bug. At the end of it I found a workaround and a new direction to search for it. I remind everyone that the machine is a Slackware box with a 2.4.23- vanilla kernel.

ip rule nat
when doing somehitng like ip rule add fwmark 3 nat 200.42.75.183 table ppp0 prio 1 (the idea is that packets that match the fwmark 3 change their source address to 200.42.75.183)..it first apply the nat and then routes to table ppp0 right? in such case the, nat, why may be nat not being applyed? cause it doesnt work at all..it goes to that interface but does not nat the src address of the package.

Multi ISP ppp0 and ppp1 switching
Hi, I currently connect to my ISP via my adsl modem in bridge mode and PPPoE. I am due to put a second PPPoE ISP onto my firewall box which will give me ppp0 (general) and ppp1 (static leased line). The static leased line will run a number of services on its static IP and it is therefore imperative to make sure rules defined for the static line are assigned to the correct interface. I need this to
