IE/FLASH/ICECAST
Hello, I've created a macromedia flash player in order to play icecast mp3 streaming. Icecast is configued on the port 8000 and It's ok with winamp. In my flash movie, I've used loadSound("<streaming>",true) on a Sound object. It's ok on Mozilla based browsers but some user don't have sound on Internet Explorer. D't understand? Is there an issue? Thx

AW: IE/FLASH/ICECAST
hi, icecast 2.2.0 has to be patched slightly to work with flash-players using the sound-object - cant find the exact link to this, maybe one of the developers can explain? I just added 4 lines at the end of format_mp3_send_headers() in format_mp3.c: sock_write(client->con->sock, "Cache-Control: no-cache\r\n"); sock_write(client->con->sock, "Pragma: no-cache\r\n");

Macromedia Flash Loading Issues
I''ve discovered something very odd about the way Rails is handling Flash media. I am attempting to load a partial that contains the code for a flash adverstisment for the website. It was working ok when the code was in the page, but once I pulled it out to a partial (so I could use it on other pages) it stopped working. <%= render(:partial =>

Flash problem with RoR? missed something?
I have tried to put a flash movie inside of my RoR page and it shows up with nothing on IEPC. It does very well on every other type of browser but does not work with IEPC. I made a folder - "flash" in my public directory and have had the one instance of it point there. Thus my flash directory is www.rails-app.com/flash/flash.swf Is there anything that anyone knows to help out?

flash-plugin crashes on full screen
Hi List. doing my weekly updates with yum last night installed kernel.x86_64 2.6.18-194.17.4.el5.centos.plus and flash-plugin.i386 10.1.102.64-release now today as I go to watch a movie from hulu.com it crashes the flash-plugin whenever I try to go full screen. Anyone else notice this behaviour? I guess I'll try to downgrade flash and see if that fixes the problem. TIA --------------

Hulu requires Flash Player 10.1.53.64
I'm running firefox on Centos 6 and am trying to watch a movie on hulu. Hulu requires Flash Player 10.1.53.64 or higher What to do? My recollection is that dealing with flash has always been a pain and that it recently got worse when Adobe EOLed flash for linux. Is this correct? No sound from Adobe flash player 9.0.31 on CentOS 4.4 x86_64
I have the Adobe (Macromedia) flash player installed on my CentOS 4.4 x86_64 system, but when I try to play a flash movie in SeaMonkey (or Firefox - doesn't matter) I get no sound. I'm using the nspluginwrapper 0.9.91.4 to make it work at all, but there's no sound. All my other sound devices/players work just fine, even my Windows guest on VMWare Server. Any ideas/suggestions? Yes,

Icecast in Macromedia Flash
Ciao Assorgia, Anch'io sono felice che cè un'altra persona che cerca di importare uno stream di Icecast nel Flash! Just one easy question (I'm speaking English for the list), is there a real quality of sound difference between Icecast1 and 2? Is Icecast2 really more reliable? Can you provide a link to your webradio, I'd be glad to listen to it. Grazie, MAX -----Original

IE, flash and icecast
I'm having trouble getting an IE client to hear mp3 streams through a flash player. It appears to be the same problem as described at http://icecast.imux.net/viewtopic.php?t=2039 - the flash player connects to the icecast server and begins downloading the audio data, but never actually plays it. I've tried all the suggestions from that thread - I patched icecast so that the Content-length

Icecast in Macromedia Flash
> I'll try installing mozilla and downloading the plug-in. > Well maybe for some of us this will be little surprise. I've made a sucessful test using icecast 2.0 and the usual flash movie embedded on a web page, this time opened using Mozilla 1.5 (latest version). These are the headers I got: --------------- SUCCESSFUL 2.0 embedded in Mozilla -------------------- GET /live
