Where does xen chache domUs grub.conf ?
Hi all, I''m a newbie on this list. I''m using xen 3.0.3 on CentOS50.
I installed a new flavor of kernel in a domU via a standard RPM, which
modified my grub.conf by adding a new entry to boot on the new kernel.
When rebooting the domU by pygrub, I didn''t see the new grub entry. I
tried to restart xend, with no effect.
By googling a little, I understood that kernel

domU unbootable after unknown error
I''ve done something apparently, but can''t for the life of me figure out
what. Perhaps someone can help:
I have an LVM based domU which has been working without problem for
weeks. I made some final changes to it last week, shut it down and ran
the following to create a backup image:
dd if=/dev/VolGroup00/wspd of=mail2.img bs=1M
At least this is the only thing I can

Hi list,
I''m trying to get RHEL4 working as Xen guest as described by the howto
at https://virt.108.redhat.com/articles/2007/01/15/rhel4-testing.html.
However, when creating the xenU domain, I''m stuck with the following
error message:

Using config file "/etc/xen/rhel4".

xenconsoled needs restart after long dom0 uptime otherwise domU console output hangs and domU doesn''t come up
Hello list!
I''ve noticed this problem a couple of times now.. so I''m wondering if it''s a
known bug?

After "long" dom0 uptime (174 days when it happened now, was something
similar on previous times too) cannot start new pv domUs anymore..
pygrub runs and boots the kernel, but kernel newer gets to actually running initrd

[PATCH] pygrub/GrubConf: fix boot problem for fedora 19 grub.cfg
Booting a fedora 19 domU failed because a it could not properly
parse the grub.cfg file. This was cased by
set default="${next_entry}"
This statement actually is within an ''if'' statement, so maybe it would
be better to skip code within if/fi blocks...
But this patch seems to work fine.

dom0 hangs when rebooting debian lenny domU
Dear all,
I have a reproducible issue with centos54 dom0 and debian lenny domU
using pygrub. As far as I enter "shutdown -r now" in the running Debian
Lenny DomU the whole system hangs. Keyboard is dead, network is dead and
no more logging. Ending up in a hardware reset of the box. I was able to
reproduce this 3 times. Restarting with xm reboot debian50 works without
problems. Is there

Report to a domU a change on a disk
Hello,
I have a Xen dom0 (Debian Etch running xen 3.0.3) running different
domUs. DomUs'' disks are LVM2 volumes. Now I have increased the size of
one of these LVM volumes so I have to inform to the corresponding domU
that its disk has increased its size (to resize it without unmounting
it). How can I do this?

PV Lenny 32 bits into 64 bits dom0 - Grub / kernel problem
Hello,
I can''t solve my problem. I want a 32 bits Lenny domU into a 64 bits
Lenny dom0.
I plan to use pygrub for that (xen 3.2.1).
So, I tried to debootstrap a 32 bits domU into a 64 bits dom0.
debootstrap --arch=i386

And these are the instructions:

high "init" load on ubuntu domu with centos dom0
I have an odd problem. I am running an ubuntu 10.04 domu that I got from
stacklet on my centos 5.5/xen4.0.1 dom0. The problem is that even
sitting idle the domu has a 1.05 load with init taking up 99% of that. I
have searched around but have not found what is causing the issue. I
thought I remembered this being mentioned on the list before but could
not find it either.
My domu.cfg is as

PV DomU stopped responding, won't boot, stuck in paused state
Yesterday, I had a PV OpenSolaris DomU stop responding. I looked on my xen machine and it was in a paused state. I ended up destroying it and then doing xm create to bring it back up.
It won''t boot, and I think PyGrub is hanging. Not sure how to resolve this, there aren''t any errors being presented in xen/xm itself. If I try ''xm create config.conf'' it just
