image rotation? (orientation)
Hi there,
So, I have this photo site. When the users upload photos, they are
generally in a zip file. So the site unzips the photos and then
generates 5 versions of each one: small_thumb, large_thumb, small,
medium, and large. After it finishes that, it will forward the user
onto a page where they can edit the pictures'' title, caption and
orientation (20 pictures per page). This page

Orientation of labels on axes
http://www.nabble.com/file/p14664173/at-modality.png
I created the above image with R and I have one problem left:
Some of the labels of the axes do not show up, probably because there's not
enough space.
I use the following code to create the plot:
modality <- read.table("results.table", header=TRUE, sep=",")
color <-

Re: converted VMDK disk iamge and Virtio driver
virt-v2v is not an option for me as all I have are the VMDK images and
don't have the VMware software to covert to OVA first.
I really don't understand what is going wrong. I also found
https://access.redhat.com/site/solutions/20511 and that still doesn't
work. Both /etc/fstab and grub.conf refer to the LABEL and not any
device name.
In the boot process I see it explicitly says it

converted VMDK disk iamge and Virtio driver
I have a CentOS 5 VM in vmware I wanted to move to work on KVM/libvirt. I used
qemu-img to convert it to a qcow2 image, loaded virt-manager and created a new
VM pointed at that qcow2 image. The boot paniced when it tried to mount
the root filesystem also complaining about not being able to remount the
swap partition.
I played around and was able to get it to boot by changing the Virtual disk

Rails plugins new official maintainers
Hey guys,
This is the final list of the new maintainers of each plugin.
We need two more things to do:
First please the owners of the repos add the rest of the maintainers.
Second I will add a note on each rails/plugin mentioning this repos updates.
So from now on, if someone else is interested in helping/contributing
please send a message to the appropriate repo owner.

Time series plot orientation
Hello,
I am trying to rotate by 90 degrees a time series plot. So I need the
time axis to be the vertical one. Is there an easy way?
I couldn't guess anything from the help pages.
Apologies for a silly question.
Regards,
Costas

orientation of eps files
hello,
i have a problem with the orientation of eps files produced with the postscript() command. i have generated some eps files with R using:
postscript(file = filename, horizontal = FALSE, paper = "special", onefile = F
ALSE, height = height, width = width, pointsize = pointsize)
now, when i include these eps files into a standard paper document (ie. a4 paper, portrait orientation)

plot to postscript orientation
Hi
I am trying to save some plots in a postscript file. When I generate the
plots in the main window, they appear correctly - their orientation is
landscape (i.e., horizontal). However, when I open the .ps file with GSview,
the whole page appears vertically, and the plot appears horizontally, which
means that the plot is only partially visible (example here

JavaScript question
Hi guys,
I know this is not the perfect place to ask this question, but I''m
struggling with object-oriented javascript and event-handlers and you
guys are probably the only ones adept enough to help me out with this.
I have this calendar code I hate (and still have to maintain ;) and
wanted to change it to use object-orientation.
So I have written a JavaScript-class called

Unobtrusive Javascript for Rails 0.2
Dan Webb (http://www.vivabit.com) and I are happy to announce the
latest release of the Unobtrusive Javascript plugin for Rails. This
release packs in lots of cool new features, a few changes to old ones
and some performance enhancements.
Now you can write your behaviours in Ruby, attach behaviours directly
to elements using content_tag and apply behaviours to elements
without HTML IDs.

Application Helper and Javascript
I have a "javascript_include_tag" including a Javascript function.
I have a function being invoked via a helper in the same view, which prints
out a script tag that uses the javascript function above.
Problem is, the function being invoked via the helper can''t find the
javascript function included in the "javascript_include_tag".
I hardcoded the javascript that

How to print the graphs in landscape/portrait orientation (revised)
Hi,
I made a few graphs by ggplot. The following codes produce a pdf file
with graphs, sometimes in landscape orientation, sometimes in portrait
orientation. I am using both Mac and Windows PC.
Question: how can I control the orientation of the pdf file? I try to
add a line pdf(paper = ?USr?) (or pdf(paper="letter")) in the following
code, but it does not work.

reverse orientation of text in plot margins
Dear R users,
I am trying to reverse the orientation of axis labels and title in the right margin of a plot, so that they read from top to bottom. I know that this can be done using text() as follows:
par(mar=c(5,4,4,4)+.1)
plot(1:4,las=0)
par(new=T)
y <- rnorm(4)
plot(y,axes=FALSE,ann=FALSE,pch=17)
axis(4,labels=FALSE)
par(xpd=TRUE)

How to print the graphs in landscape/portrait orientation
Hi,
I made a few graphs by ggplot. The following codes produce a pdf file
with graphs in landscape orientation on my Windows PC, while they produce a
pdf file with the same graphs, but in portrait orientation:
*p2 <- lapply(1:(2*n), function(.x) xyz_outl[.x][[1]]) #a sequence of
graphs made by ggplot*
*m2 <- marrangeGrob(p2, nrow=3, ncol=2) *
*ggsave("xyz.pdf", m2)*
