What follows below is an outline of what we''re changing in Xen startup for Fedora 8. I know historically when getting into initscripts you tend to hit distro specific issues. So I''m posting this to see if there''s any interest from others in having these changes integrated upstream. I''d like to thing that with a few minor tweaks this is general enough to be

[PATCH] libxl: make libxl communicate with xenstored by socket or xenbus driver
Hi, George sent a patch on this problem before, but it was not completed. This patch makes libxl use xenbus to communicate with xenstored if libxl cannot open a socket. There''s a place that does not close fd in the case of failure, which is also fixed in this patch. -----------------------------------------Patch------------------------------------------------------ diff -r eff592364826

答复: The memory maybe leak in samba 4.3.11
Hi, Thanks a lot. Use the valgrind, we found the stack of the malloc as below, so, maybe it is not memory leak. ==2796353== 36,334,440 bytes in 100,929 blocks are still reachable in loss record 774 of 774 ==2796353== at 0x4C2AB80: malloc (in /usr/lib/valgrind/vgpreload_memcheck-amd64-linux.so) ==2796353== by 0x953B88F: ??? OK, I had this working a few days ago, but have evidently changed something that I cannot locate. Someone hit me with their 2x4. Smbd startup failure caused by a failure to create an NT token for the guest account
Binary package hint: samba Hi I've just intalled Ubuntu Server 8.04 LTS in order to run Samba/Ldap PDC but I,ve encountered an error which looks like a bug 3905 that was fixed in samba 3.0.23 according to changelog. I tried two different configuration both ends in the same moment with an error. first one is exact copy of solution from chapter 5 from "Samba3 by example". Second

problem restarting xenstored
As any other daemon, I''d assume it should be possible to restart xenstored (i.e. if it crashed or if, during development, a fix was made to it that needs to be tested). However, as I learned after over a day of digging, things don''t work anymore after doing so: Since the watches are transient, they''re lost with the daemon going away. Right now I specifically need this in

Question Regarding xs_read()
Hi everyone, I''m making a user application that''s going to run in Xen guests (both dom0 and domU) and each instance needs to read values from the VM''s unique space in XenStore. The way I have done it is use the functions defined in <xs.h> using the xs_read function to read a value. In command line I''m able to use the xenstore-read program and simply pass
