Rotating Images with file_column
Hi everyone, I have a photo site that I''m making and I''m using file_column to handle the auto-generation of several "version" of each photo: essentially thumbs and fuller-sized version. The full sized versions retain the original''s proportions, whereas the thumbs are all 4:3. This means most of the thumbs are cropping the original. This all works great, but I

orientation of eps files
hello, i have a problem with the orientation of eps files produced with the postscript() command. i have generated some eps files with R using: postscript(file = filename, horizontal = FALSE, paper = "special", onefile = F ALSE, height = height, width = width, pointsize = pointsize) now, when i include these eps files into a standard paper document (ie. a4 paper, portrait orientation)

postscript problems (landscape orientation)
I use the following function to export some figures to .eps: p.eps <- function(p, fname, title = NULL, width, height) { postscript(file=fname, onefile=FALSE, paper="special", width=width, height=height, horizontal=FALSE) print(p + opts(title = title)) dev.off() } Whenever I have a page consisting of *only* figures exported in this way, Acrobat Reader shows them in

How to print the graphs in landscape/portrait orientation (revised)
Hi, I made a few graphs by ggplot. The following codes produce a pdf file with graphs, sometimes in landscape orientation, sometimes in portrait orientation. I am using both Mac and Windows PC. Question: how can I control the orientation of the pdf file? I try to add a line pdf(paper = ?USr?) (or pdf(paper="letter")) in the following code, but it does not work.

RJS Queue
Hi, I''ve been able to succesfully queue page.visual_effect commands in my RJS templates. Each command will wait to execute until the previous command is done executing. But I''d also like to execute a page.replace_html command AFTER the page.visual_effect commands. I have a series of five DIVs: div1 div2 div3 div4 div5 When the user clicks on div1, a page.visual_effect

How to print the graphs in landscape/portrait orientation
Hi, I made a few graphs by ggplot. The following codes produce a pdf file with graphs in landscape orientation on my Windows PC, while they produce a pdf file with the same graphs, but in portrait orientation: *p2 <- lapply(1:(2*n), function(.x) xyz_outl[.x][[1]]) #a sequence of graphs made by ggplot* *m2 <- marrangeGrob(p2, nrow=3, ncol=2) * *ggsave("xyz.pdf", m2)*

reverse orientation of text in plot margins
Dear R users, I am trying to reverse the orientation of axis labels and title in the right margin of a plot, so that they read from top to bottom. I know that this can be done using text() as follows: par(mar=c(5,4,4,4)+.1) plot(1:4,las=0) par(new=T) y <- rnorm(4) plot(y,axes=FALSE,ann=FALSE,pch=17) axis(4,labels=FALSE) par(xpd=TRUE)

rotate ylab
Hello, I have an expression for the y axis, which I wish to rotate by 90 degrees (so that this label has the same orientation as for the x axis). Thought the graphical parameter crt (or srt) would do the trick, but haven't had any joy so far. Any ideas? (Using Version 1.2.2, linux, redhat 7.0) Cheers, Rob. -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

[ggplot2] Wind rose orientation
Aloha all, I love using ggplot. It took a while to get used to the grammar of graphics, but it is starting to get easy now that I am thinking in a more structured way. A question. I'm making a wind rose that I'd like to be oriented with due north straight up. I've discovered that the orientation is sensitive to how north is represented. When north is represented as 0,

Orientation of labels on axes
http://www.nabble.com/file/p14664173/at-modality.png I created the above image with R and I have one problem left: Some of the labels of the axes do not show up, probably because there's not enough space. I use the following code to create the plot: modality <- read.table("results.table", header=TRUE, sep=",") color <-

Controlling Postscript output, size and orientation
I'm trying to get my graphics so that I can use them in LaTeX to create (via ) a pdf presentation. I've tried controlling inner and outer margins and figure size using par(), to no avail. The ps output keeps appearing as a portrait page with a centered figure. Nothing I have been able to do so far has changed that. Below is the code: par( bg="yellow", lab=c(10,5,7)
