Graphics Pass-Through: Reboot Doesn''t Work
Something I''m experiencing here using graphics/vga pass-through with Xen 4....rebooting the domU does not seem to work. I''m running Windows XP, and, when I reboot, the domain appears to just shut down. A look at the xend.log file, however, shows the following entries:

XEN ON IBM System X3650/X3950
Hi,all,
Is there anyone which installed xen on ibm system x3650?
I read a link from redhat:
http://kbase.redhat.com/faq/FAQ_46_10304.shtm
That is running xen guests on System x3950 is not recommended.
I installed rhel5.1 x86_64 on a ibm system x3650 with xen kernel,but I can not install guest with paravirtualizing,the guest os include rhel5.1 32/64bit rhel4.5/32bit

Re: Re: Unable to pass device to IOMMU
Sorry to duplicate my issues onto the list - I thought I had looked
through this thread before and seen a different error, but apparently
Adam and I are running into much the same thing. I'm seeing exactly the
same "Failed to assign device to IOMMU" along with the "Device not owned
by PCI Back End or pci-stub" in these scenarios. I have not gone back
to previous versions,

Migrating from KVM to XEN - kernel panic
First let me say that I'm not a sysadmin, but am simply wearing that hat
this week so please excuse my ignorance. I need to temporarily move some
virtual servers from a CentOS-KVM platform to a CentOS-XEN platform while I
do some upgrades to the CentOS box. I've created a local LV, and used DD
and SCP to transfer the block device from the VKM machine to the XEN
machine. For quite a

Can''t get a Centos 5.3 domU to work
I''m unable to create a centos domU on Opensolaris 2009.6. I had no
problem following the instructions to make Solaris a dom0. The same
process worked just fine with the GUI virtual machine manager under
OpenSUSE 11.1. For a number of reasons I''d prefer to use Opensolaris
as my Dom0, but not if it going to be a battle to get everything to
work. Is Xen actually a

SCSI disk does not work
Hi,
I want to simulate the disks to be SCSI disks in HVM(to get better performance). But the "SCSI disk"doesn't work automaticlly.I think if I want to do this, first of all,the bs_table[MAX_DISKS] to bs_table[MAX_DISKS+MAX_SCSI_DISKS] should be set.Is that right? And Is there any places I should set to get the "SCSI disk" started in the HVM?
Thank you!

Do systems have to be IDENTICAL for live migration?
I have several systems running 64bit SLES11SP1. I''m trying to Live
Migrate between a couple of them and it''s not working, although the same
VM will run on each one starting it manually.
The system are not identical. Would one expect migration to work
between these two systems? See below.
Thanks,
James
The first system is a ProLiant DL360 G6:

Trying to Run OpenSolaris PV
Hey, everyone,
I''m running Xen 3.2 (SLES10) and trying to get an OpenSolaris PV domU to run correctly. I''ve followed a couple of the instruction sets out on the Xen wiki and other folks blogs, but I''m running into an issue with the domU crashing. The OpenSolaris version is the latest development release - 5.11-0.128. The config looks like this:

Problems with pyGRUB
Hi,
I am running Xen 3.3.1 built from Source with Debian Lenny as the dom0.
Everything works fine so far except pyGRUB. So, what I did was install
CentOS (latest version ... 5.3 or something) using qemu to a LVM logical
volume and from within CentOS I installed the Xen Kernel. Now pyGRUB shows
me 3 grub entries:
1) CentOS (2.6.18-128.1.10.el5xen) <= xen hypervisor
2) CentOS

net ads join: Aborted
I'm having trouble getting a host to join an ADS domain/realm. I have smb.conf set correctly, with the workgroup, realm, and security = ads specified. However, when I try to join with the command: net ads join -U Administrator, I simple get the message "Aborted" and it does not join the domain. If I use the -d flag to enable debugging, I see the following toward the end of the
