Installing 32-bit CentOS 6 on a new Lenovo System x3650 M5 server?
Is there any known incompatibility with the latest 32-bit (i386) CentOS 6 and the latest Lenovo x3650 M5 servers? I?ve been running i386 CentOS 6.X on 3 year old x3650 M4 servers without any issues. Our development environment has not been ported to 64-bit (x86_64) yet, so we are stuck using i386 for another few months. When I try to boot from the netinstall ISO image I just get a ?Boot Failed?

It uses a slightly newer chipset, but apparantly it's in the same family. The SE-7230 board has been EOL'd and the

problem with xen on IBM x3650

It works if I use a configuration like the one mentionned on this site but I don''t think it''s clean: http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-users/2007-01/msg01347.html Here''s the output of

UPS (Megatec) with strange voltage values
Hello Nut List! I have 2 "Lacerda 10KVA" UPS that returns strange values for Q1 and F commands: Q1 (215.0 215.0 219.0 004 60.0 2.27 39.0 00000001 F #220.0 045 240.0 60.0 At least what I know about Megatec, It seems to say that it has a 240.0 V battery with currently 2.27V. Problem with nr_nodes on large memory NUMA machine
We''ve run into an issue with an 8 node x3950 where xm info is showing only 6 nodes. I''ve traced the problem to the clip_to_limit function in arch/x86/e820.c. #ifdef __x86_64__ clip_to_limit((uint64_t)(MACH2PHYS_COMPAT_VIRT_END - __HYPERVISOR_COMPAT_VIRT_START) << 10, "Only the first %u GB of the physical memory map

Xen and networking.
I have a beefy machine (Intel dual-quad core, 16GB memory 2 x GigE) I have loaded RHEL5.1-xen on the hardware and have created two logical systems: 4 cpus, 7.5 GB memory 1 x Gige Following RHEL guidelines, I have it set up so that eth0->xenbr0 and eth1->xenbr1 Each of the two RHEL5.1 guests uses one of the interfaces and this is verified at the switch by seeing the unique MAC addresses.

Dovecot/SeLinux issues after RHEL5.1 upgrade
Hello to everyone on the list, I have upgraded my RHEL4 to RHEL5.1 yesterday (all updates have been applied to it as well). I used to have dovecot v0.99.11 on the old system. Everything was working fine. Now I have 5.1 and its respective dovecot v1.0.rc15. Upon upgrading to RHEL5.1, dovecot no longer works correctly. The first thing I did after rewriting the config file for the updated version,

Xyratex disk units
I am wondering if any one knows of a way to manage Xyratex disk shelves from CentOS (in particular CentOS 4). More details: Some years ago I installed a NAS unit from Exanet which consists of 2 rebadged IBM x3650 head nodes and a couple of Xyratex disk shelves with a total of 96 TB of raw disk, connected by fibre channel. The operating system is based on CentOS 4.4, but is modified, and runs a
