sip over h323
Hi List, we are using openh323 gatekeeper for voip telefony. We also have a voip over ss7 TELES Switch for voip into POSTN Network. Know we want to use Asterisk for converting SIP to h323. Now my question. Is Asterisk an full h323 gatekeeper like openh323? Do we need openh323 GK for astrerisk, too?. And how can i tell asterisk to sent all none SIP-ip calls to the gatekeeper over h323? thx

OpenSuse 11 hvm domU: screen resolution up to 640x480
Hello, I''ve recently installed a hvm domU opensuse 11 guest and I cannot set the screen resolution higher then 640x480. This seems very strange to me, because I don''t have any problem to set higher resolution on a windows 7 domU, using the following parameters in the configuration file: stdvga=1 videoram=16 What could the problem be? Is some video driver missing? -- Flavio

Secondary gatekeeper support by asterisk h323 drivers
Hi, I'm wondering if there are any plans on adding secondary gatekeeper support to asterisk h323 channel drivers. Also I've noticed that chan_h323 is crashing asterisk at startup if primary gatekeeper is not available. Wouldn't it be a more correct behavior if it doesn't crashing but continue registration attempts in the background? Didn't test it with chan_oh323. Thank you.

ooh323 drops registration with Cisco IOS GateKeeper - bug or config issue?
All, I'm running (attempting to) ooh323 with Asterisk and a Cisco 2621XM router operating as a H.323 GateKeeper, however when I bring the Asterisk box up it registers successfully with the GateKeeper (exchanges GRQ/GCF, then RRQ/RCF) it notes the GateKeeper supports keepalive at 300 seconds, when it gets to time to re-register its sends an RRQ again and gets rejected with RRJ (unspecified

Asterisk and Tandberg Gatekeeper
Has anyone had any luck getting Asterisk 1.6.2.13 to register to a Tandberg Gatekeeper? The logs on the Asterisk end seem to show that the registration request is sent, and the Tandberg Gatekeeper responds. However, the response doesn't seem to be what Asterisk was expecting. Here is my ooh323.conf, followed by the relevant portion of the h323_log: [general] port = 1720 bindaddr =

I already have a mature network of Asterisk boxes dotted around the UK and overseas with hundreds of extensions and our own number-plan/dial-plan in the form

Asterisk H.323, Cisco IOS Gatekeeper(s) intra-zone call routing and TETRA
Stephan, Ok, I'll re-state the problem... I have two devices that I want to talk to each other: 1. an Asterisk PBX 2. a Damm Cellular TETRAFLEX digital radio system (www.damm.dk) both devices are effectively "gateways" because they have many subscribers behind them. The Damm Cellular system controller is based on Windows-XP Embedded and its sub-systems used the OpenH323

h323 gatekeeper registration failed
Hi all, i have tried to connect to a clarent gatekeeper. I have used both of h323 drivers chan_h323.so and chan_oh323.so. But no one can register to this gatekeeper. Our ip is activated on this gatekeeper. Maybe, i do wrong anything.... I have only set the "gatekeeper" option in the h323.conf or oh323.conf to the ip address from the gatekeeper. gatekeeper=x.x.x.x But no one of the

using pam_winbind to authenticate PPP?
I'm trying to set up a Linux-based dialin server on our company network. I'd like to have PPP authenticate using winbindd, if possible. I feel like I've almost gotten it to work, but I can't quite get there. Files: /etc/pam.d/ppp: #%PAM-1.0 auth required pam_nologin.so auth sufficient /lib/security/pam_winbind.so account required

Use dialing plan from h.323 gatekeeper?
Hi, I want to configure * to use a gatekeeper for routing calls to H.323 endpoints. I imagine it will work like that: * (chan_h323) will query the gatekeeper where to terminate the dialed number and the gatekeeper will return the information for the h.323 gateway. after that chan_h323 will try to make the call to the gateway it has received from the gatekeeper. so instead of duplicating a
