Dumping Xen dom0 kernel output to serial console
Hi- I am having a weird problem with setting dom0 kernel output to the serial console with Xen 3.0.4-1, below is my grub setting. With this setting if I don''t enter the grub menu and have the default boot to the first image, everything works fine and I can get output/input to the serial console. The problem is when I enter the grub menu and select the image to boot from, if I

HVM DomU with Kernel 2.6.27-19 on CentOS 5 hangs with 100% CPU at Linux bootup on Xen 3.2.1
Dear Xen Community, today we tried to upgrade our base server from a Xeon E5430 to a Xeon X5570 (Nehalem). This worked fine so far, but our DomUs with Kernel 2.6.27 no longer boot - they start up until the following message appears: [..] Mount-cache hash table entries: 256 Initializing cgroup subsys ns Initializing cgroup subsys cpuacct Initializing cgroup subsys memory Initializing cgroup

CentOS 6: bootup display
On my old CentOS 5, when it boots up (to level 3) it displays a line for each of the things it is starting as it does it. I found that quite useful. On my new CentOS 6, while it is booting up, it displays a useless CentOS trademark picture. Is there a way to get the old kind of display in CentOS 6? Thanks, Mike.

Screen not changing from 640x480 to 800x600 - "Shogun - Total War"
Wine 9.30 Slackware 11 ATI FireGL 5200 (Propriatory drivers) I found Shogun in a shop as a 'Classic' game and I've been trying to get it to work using Wine. Shogun uses Safedisc and so does not work in it's, ahem, original form. However it can, shall we say, be persuaded to get over it's difficulties and at least run. This is where I am now. I have the game running and

Centos 5 -- X default resolution
Install did not recognize my LCD monitor, probably due to the old KVM. Anyway, I went to config monitor after install (logged in as root) and selected the monitor in my NOC where this box is going to live anyway. I then had to exit X and restart it for this selection to take. It this point the resolution was 1280x1024 which was unreadable. I changed it to 1024x768 which works well.

[PATCH] Xend wait for device to disconnect during final stage of migration
Hi- This patch fixes the issue with waiting for devices to disconnect during the end stage of migration in Xend. The problem was cause by a deletion of the VM domain ID which is used by testDevicecompleComplete ->deviceIDs->backendRoot() to get the virtual backend device path. The virtual backend device path is used to check if a device is still existed in xenstore. Please take a

Theora encode/decode performance is poor with resolution 640X480
Hi, We build a Voip client with Iaxclient(Jiaxclient+Iaxclient2.1beta1+Theora1.0+libvidcap0.21),when we established video call with resolution 640X480 in both sides, the CPU is consumed about 100%,the workload of Asterisk server is good at that moment. This issue does not exist with the resolution 320X240, the environment is as following, - CPU Interl Celeron 2.66GHz,RAM1GB, - Windows XP

[LLVMdev] Proposal to add Bitcode version field to bitcode file wrapper
Sorry if I was unclear. There are currently no “known incompatibilities” that I am aware of, although I fully admit to not being an expert on the topic. The idea is that we add versioning information to the bitcode so that if an issue were discovered, it could be easily detected and dealt with. LLVM.org/viewvc down?
Is there any eta for when viewvc will be back? I prefer to use viewvc because all of the commit emails have the SVN commit number, but not the corresponding git hashes, so it makes it easier to look it up. Or is there some easy way to map an svn commit number to the corresponding git hash? Douglas Yung From: Johan Engelen [mailto:jbc.engelen at gmail.com] Sent: Saturday, March 12, 2016 5:03 AM

LLVM.org/viewvc down?
Unfortunately, we had lot of bogus requests to viewvc (e.g. asking for history / blame for random revision) which looked like a DoS. Most probably we'll enable it after llvm.org will be migrated to new hardware. HVM VNC display greater than 1280x1024
Hi all, first a lot of thanks to all the Xen developers ;) Currently I''m displaying Windows XP by using VNC. I''ve got both ''vnc=1'' in my Xen config file and an "UltraVNC server" running inside the Windows XP HVM. (but I usually only connect to the UltraVNC server). I''m not a VNC guru... Is it possible to somehow have a Windows XP system
