network-multinet usage?
Still trying to make my VMs appear on a subnet of their very
own and route traffic to/from them from the Dom0.
This network-multinet script sounds ideal for what I want:

However, the description of building a routed network says

Bug#388352: xen-hypervisor-3.0-unstable-1-amd64: veth0 is missing
Package: xen-hypervisor-3.0-unstable-1-amd64
Version: 3.0-unstable+hg11292-2
Severity: important
My server is a dell 2950 server.
Before the dom0 rebooting bug ocurred, xen was well even for hvm domU.
By now i have tried xen-hypervisor-3.0-amd64 (3.0.2+hg9697-2) and
xen-hypervisor-3.0-unstable-1-amd64 (3.0-unstable+hg11292-2),
but both of them are unusable for me.

PxeLinux menu.c32 chaining
Hello,
many of our platforms do not have a integrated floppy, some even don''t have a floppy controller. As pxelinux still has a problem with machines without a floppy in combination with some bios versions I need to chainload a different bootstrap loader which works on the floppyless platforms. But I also need to load a BartPE and the other BS loader does not support that. So I tried to

Xen 3.0 Xend loses network - eth0 -> veth0?
Hi list.
I started with Xen yesterday, but I am facing a bit of a problem.
My system had always configure eth0 with 10.0.0.4/8
I am using Xen unstable source (on Debian sid)
Now I installed Xen, rebooted the machine, and first the usual network is
coming up and then the xend will be started.
I''ll end up with this, but I am wondering if this should be the way of
things to be

Mixed dom0/domU usage?
Hi,
I'm wondering about the impact of using both dom0 and domU's on a server at
the same time. I'm worried about the performance impact of running a Mysql
server in a domU and now I'm thinking about moving the Mysql part of a LAMP
setup into dom0 and running a few Apache guests as domUs. Since the Apaches
will serve mostly from an NFS share they won't have much impact on

xen 4.1.1 missing veth0 <--> vif0.0 pairs
Hi,
I am using Xen 4.1.1 with Linux 3.0.1 kernel. Previously (Xen 3.4.4 and
linux kernel 2.6.18) Xen by default created veth0 <--> vif0.0 pair in dom0.
With Xen 4.1.1 these pairs are missing in dom0.
Using command ''ip link add type veth'' I can create veth0 and veth1 but
vif0.0 is still missing in dom0. (When new domU created I can see vif1.x
created)
Could you please help

[PATCH] fix network-bridge stop
During my attempts to get the latest bridge networking model working on my
system, I often invoked ''network-bridge stop'' with total failure. Attached
is an updated version that works.

netback/loopback.c creates them.
It''s effectively a point to point link, allowing domain 0 to connect on
to the bridge in the same manner that other domains do. (before, packets
to domain 0 were short-cutted and came off the

Problem with network-bridge script and veth0
Hello,
Since my last update of xen, I am having problems with bridges and xen.
When I want to start a bridge on the dom0 (to run a domU in a different
vlan than the default) I run
/etc/xen/scripts/network-bridge start netdev=eth0.302 bridge=xen-br302
antispoof=no
where eth0.302 is an interface associated with my vlan 302 (it tags
with this vlan identifier).
The problem I have is that it

HTB and BOND Interface
Hi!
Is it HTB fully compatible with BOND interface?
I have this setup (mode= fault tolerance) :
BOND0 -> ETH0 + ETH1
BOND1 -> ETH2 + ETH3
( http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/marcelo/linux-2.4/Documentation/networking/bonding.txt
)
HTB work very well with Class over BOND0.
If I add Class for BOND1 it generate balance errors.
Also with HTB.init

Veth0 missing
Hi,
I''m using RHEL linux 5.1, I can''t add the another NIC to my virtual machine.

Link veth0 is missing. This may be because you have reached the limit of the
number of interfaces that the loopback driver supports. If the loopback
driver is a module, you may raise this limit by passing it as a parameter
(nloopbacks=<N>); if the

NetworkManger creates extra bonds; is this a bug?
Hi All,
I see an unexpected beahviour from NetworkManager on CentOS 7.1.
Using nmcli tool, I create a bond with two slaves as explained in the Red
Hat 7.1 Networking guide. I enable slaves and master; bond works as
expected.
When I restart NetworkManager, it creates a new bond with the same name but
not connected to any device. Two bonds with the same name is confusing for
my other monitoring

True bond howto for Centos 6
Hi all,
Read many posts on the subject.
Using 802.3ad.
Few problems;
Cannot ping some hosts on the network, they are all up.
Cannot resolve via DNS which is one of the hosts that I cannot ping, internal nor external DNS hosts.
Unplugging the NICS and plugging them back in will then not allow pining if the default d=gateway.
When cold booting it somewhat works, some hosts are pingable while
