Icecast segmentation faults
Hi On 08/02/2008, Geoff Shang <Geoff@quitelikely.com> wrote: > Hi, > > Anything helpful in your error.log? You may need to set the log level to 4 > (debug). Ok - I've had 5 seg faults in the last 24 hours which is a pain, as you can imagine. I crona script once per minute to restart Icecast in the event that it fails so the service is never down for more than 59 secs

tinc on fedora core 8
Hello, I would like to install the latest tinc software on a fedora 8 Linux box. I tried the rpm for FC3 from http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/tinc/, and I got dependency errors complaining that libcrypto.so.4 is needed. I've got openssl rpm package installed which uses a different versino of libcrypto, and creating symbolic links won't solve the issue. Then I found this article

Still un-answered: How-To build Xen (3.2) to override XenSource''s linux-kernel (2.6.18) with a xenified kernel (your own or distribution)
Hello,   I can say that I have searched the entire ''world wide web'' and still haven''t found ''complete  and clear answers'' to the often asked question of: Given a Xen (release) build (say 3.2.0), which by default tries to get and build and assume Linux kernel-xen 2.6.18 from the mercurial repository, HOW TO override the build and make it work with a

Miredo 1.1.5
I found a src.rpm for 1.1.5-1 for fc8 (not rh8!). I was able to rebuild it on my Centos build system. The rpms are identified as 1.1.5-1.i386.rpm, no el5 or other identification was placed in the files. I don't see how to control this when you rebuild from an existing src.rpm. Interestingly the fc8 designation was lost. I also rebuild it on my fc10 system. It worked, and the rpms have

Best Practice Advice?
Dear All, I have a asterisk setup that is currently running on version 1.4.15 - I wish to upgrade or migrate this instance to the current asterisk stable, 1.6.0.6. It is my intention to build a FC8 box, then install asterisk from source, and begin to migrate over the configuration. The thing is, this sounds so simple in my head, and I've had enough issues with asterisk, to know that life

xorg-x11-drv-nouveau for CentOS?
Is there a way to use "Nouveau" (open source Nvidia) driver in CentOS 5 ? "nv" seems to support only the lowest resolutions thru the dvi output (NV44 chip), and I don't like the idea of installing propiertary Nvidia drivers. This way I came to Nouveau. I had a look at some Fedora rpms, but they needed something CentOS obviously doesn't have: # rpm -ivh

Reinstalled Windows and GRUB - Cannot boot Linux - fstab and grub.conf errors?
Background: This is a dual boot (Windows XP and CentOS 5.2 (32 bit) box. There were four (4) NTFS partitions. The C partition got full. I deleted the 4 NTFS partitions and did a clean install of Windows XP, into one (1) NTFS partition. I knew that I would need to install GRUB again and I did that, using the CentOS 5 Installation DVD. When I tried to boot into Linux, no joy. this is the GRUB error
