I''ll step back to Xen stable, because of my network probs with Xen

OpenSuse 11 hvm domU: screen resolution up to 640x480
Hello,
I''ve recently installed a hvm domU opensuse 11 guest and I cannot set the screen
resolution higher then 640x480. This seems very strange to me, because
I don''t have
any problem to set higher resolution on a windows 7 domU, using the
following parameters
in the configuration file:
stdvga=1
videoram=16
What could the problem be? Is some video driver missing?

[PATCH]: Don''t ask for a VNC password after HVM live migrate
All,
Attached is a simple patch to fix the VNC server in the qemu device model
after an HVM save/restore/migrate, if you don''t have a vncpasswd specified. The
basic problem was that the "image" section of the sxp had a "None" in it, which
means that on the restore (either on the local machine or remote machine), the
vnc server in the qemu device model literally

Host/guest clipboard?
Hi,
I''m trying to get copy/paste/cut working between my Xen host (FC8 64) and
guest OSs (Centos 5.1, Windows 2000). I''ve tried the viewer in virt-manager,
virt-viewer, and vncviewer. None of them seem to transfer clipboard contents
between host and guest, even with both clipboard checkboxes selected in
vncviewer options. Does anyone know how to get this working? Thanks.

Dom0 won''t come up, Fedora 9
Trying to get Xen going on Fedora 9. Xen was installed from the
distro RPMs. Xen version is 3.2.0 and the linux-xen version is
2.6.25.3.
Xen seems to come up fine, but the system just hangs at the
point where booting of Dom0 should start. There is absolutely
no output from Dom0.
I configured Xen to log to a serial port and captured the output
below. Any suggestions on how to continue

VNC console only shows black screen on HVM guest running on Xen 4.1 with Ubuntu 12.04 as Dom0
Hello all,
I have a problem getting a working VNC console for HVM guests on Xen
4.1. When I start the DomU with xm create everything is fine the DomU
runs and in xm list it has the running state but when I try to connect
to the VNC console to install an operating system (Ubuntu and Debian I
have tested) the VNC viewer only shows a black screen. So I searched in
the logs and found a log entry

Problem setting up VNC on SLES10 HVM DomU
I''ve just uneventfully installed SLES10 as an HVM DomU (after finding
out, the hard way, that OpenSUSE 10.3 won''t install on Intel VT).
This almost went without a hitch, but I''ve been banging my head against
a brick wall for a few hours trying to get VNC working. I can get a
remote desktop, but a few seconds after I log in to the remote desktop,
the screen goes

Apparently the problem was xenconsoled, killing it and restarting it

[Solved] Xen fixed VNC Ports -- HVM and PV
Dear all,
In case of someone else is trying to do the same configuration as mine, I
stated below the steps to configure HVM and PV''s domains to use FIXED VNC
Ports (instead of having Xen automatically assign one unused port based on
domain id):
For HVM''s:
vnc=1 # Enable VNC
vncconsole=0 # Don''t start vncviewer after "create" the

HVM VNC display greater than 1280x1024
Hi all,
first a lot of thanks to all the Xen developers ;)
Currently I''m displaying Windows XP by using VNC.
I''ve got both ''vnc=1'' in my Xen config file and
an "UltraVNC server" running inside the Windows XP
HVM.
(but I usually only connect to the UltraVNC server).
I''m not a VNC guru... Is it possible to somehow
have a Windows XP system
