xenbr0 isn't created anymore
Somehow I managed to disable the creation of xenbr0 on boot-up of the host
system. CentOS 5 with standard CentOS Xen.
I changed all Xen VMs to use xenbr0 instead of virbr0 and disabled
virtlibd. Works fine. But when I later restarted the machine I found that
all networking for guests had gone. On inspection there's no xenbr0
created anymore. I can get it up by stopping network (or eth0)

vnet on x86_64
Hallo!
Has anybody a working version for linux-2.6.16 ARCH=x86_64?
As i see it correctly, there is a kernel-call for socketcall,
with x86_64 will not have... (and this in kernel-module ?)

xenbr0 not coming up.
Is xenbr0 supposed to come up automatically when the dom0 starts up?
When I do an ifconfig I don''t see any xenbr0.

after identify labels dissapear XP
Greetings:
Using 'identify' to label points on a plot works just fine. However, when
saving under 'metafile' or using the clipboard the labels dissapear. I
believe it's an SDI issue. I am running last R with last Tinn-r under XP up
to date. Anything I can do besides going back to MDI :-)?

Noob question: user moved to a OU dissapear from getent, but groups don't
Hi, first of all i'm sorry for my english.
I'm triyng to migrate a Samba 3.6 domain to Samba 4 and I've a question
about OU and Winbind:
OU affects to something more besides GPO in AD and Winbind?. Because I've
moved all users to an OU and all less one (strangely) have dissapear from
"getent passwd" and the other SO tools.
If i run "wbinfo -u" all users are

Homes shares randomly dissapear on AD-DC'S
Hi,
I have an strange issue on our company network. We run samba4 ad-dc's on
four branches as separate sites, they are connected via ipsec tunnels,
all servers are debian wheezy systems using sernet 4.1.9-8 samba packages.
We use roaming profiles with folder redirection configured via GPo's. In
tree of the four branches users suddenly losse the connection to their
home shares, since

XEN multiple bridge problem - VM won' start!
Hi,
I've been using CentOS & Xen on a server that has 2 VM's configured. The
default configuration includes one physical iface that is propagated (by a
default bridge) to the VM's.
Since I wanted to configure additional physical iface, define a new bridge
and propagate it to the viface-s of the VM's, i configured the bridge/phys.
iface and brought it up (here are

Thanks to both for answers.
I'm using the latest version of wheezy-backports (Version 4.1.17-Debian)
and in this server i don't need to map the AD users to linux tools (i'm
doing tests before change anything in production servers), but i'm planing
to use a File Server and a Print Server in separated machines and I need to
have access to AD users. If I disable winbind entries on

Thanks for your reply.
I've migrated the domain copying all files in /var/lib/samba and /etc/samba
from original domain to new domain, I've edit the smb file to change the
"passdb backend" line to match the old server (because original is
localhost and give me an error connecting), and then I run this command:
samba-tool domain classicupgrade --dbdir=/home/user/samba

Permissive devices in Xen
Hello,
is there any reason why even permissive devices cannot write some areas in the
PCI config space?
The PCI_COMMAND is handled in special way so that the device is
enabled/disabled properly, am I right?
Why is PCI_INTERRUPT_LINE read from dev->irq and not from the config space?
Why the PCI address bars are handled in very different way? And it seems that
writing these bars is never

InfiniBand device in Xen
Hello,
I''m trying to get working infiniband device in Xen. I have Xen v3 with 2.6.18
kernel. I export PCI device from Dom0 into DomU. I''ve enabled permisive device
in Dom0.
However, inserting infiniband module results in the following messages (with
little more verbosity which I have added):

[patch] NFSv4/ZFS ACLs
This is a PoC patch for NFSv4/ZFS ACLs.
The objective of the patch is that rsync --acls support NFSv4/ZFS ACLs
without requiring a new command line option
NFSv4 ACLs can't be represented using POSIX draft ACLs, if an NFSv4 ACL is
present a separate POSIX draft ACL will not be present and there are new
APIs
to access NFSv4 ACLs. So we need to distinguish between NFSv4 ACLs and
POSIX
ACLs in

congrats!
Thanks Wayne and everybody,
This is a huge boost to have a modern rsync for OSX. We're all
grateful. Rob D
PS I did notice that we lost the bsd flags test in 3.0. It was ok in
pre10.... thanks again

FW: Bonding & xenbr0
Hi Gerhard;
I'm pretty new to this list too but I think this may be a bonding issue. What bonding mode are you using in /etc/modprobe.conf? You should have a couple of lines in there:
alias bond0 bonding
options bond0 miimon=x mode=x
What kind of switch are you connecting to and have you done any specific configuration to the switch to support your bonding mode? (depends on the mode).

Bug#741456: xen-utils-common: Starting domUs with xm fails - unable to find xenbr0. Works with xl.
Package: xen-utils-common
Version: 4.3.0-3
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
I've just set up a fresh Jessie system using the installer dated 2014-03-05,
then installed and enabled Xen 4.3. I've done this quite a few times before
using Wheezy and 4.1.
I set up xenbr0, then created a test domU using xen-create-image, which
completed without issue. However I was unable to start the new
