Problem passing a HP-DAT (USB) device to domU (fwd) (this time with outputs!)
(lspci-output added at the end of this mail!)
Hi specialists,
I''m trying to pass an HP Surestore USB-drive to a domU. I''m hiding the
pci-device in the dom0, and capturing it in the domU. Although this works
fine I receive the following lines in /var/log/syslog of the dom0 after a
reboot

Xen pci passthru problems with kernel -164.6.1
Hi there,
After updating a server from CentOS 5.3 to 5.4 my Xen pci-passthru setup
has some troubles.
The server has two NICs, one used by dom0 and the other assigned to a
domU and one SCSI controler assigned to another domU. It has been
working fine since CentOS 5.1, when I did the initial setup.
After upgrading to 5.4, I get this error when starting the domU with one
of the NICs assigned:

PCI passthrough - pci interrupt gets disabled
Hi there,
I''m running Xen 3.2.1-rc1-pre on a Ubuntu 8.0.4 server (kernel 2.6.24-19-xen).
I have some network cards which are passed through to the DomUs.
''Normally'' everything works quite well. but sometimes when a DomU
crashes or has to be shutdown, the pci interrupt of that DomU gets
disabled in Dom0. After that happend there is no way (at least I

PCI passthrough of cciss HBA
All,
I would like to run the following issue past the list to confirm that my
problem analysis makes sense or whether I missed something:
We have a HP ML370G6 server with VT-x and VT-d enabled in the BIOS. It is
equipped with two Smart Array HBAs - one connected to the HDD array
(SmartArray P800) and one connected to an LTO tape drive (SmartArray
P212). Both controllers use the same driver

hw question: asus dsbf-de sata ports?
Hello List,
I'm hoping someone else out there has an Asus DSBF-DE server board,
and can tell me if anything special needs to be done to get ports 5
and 6 of the onboard SATA to work under Centos 5.1 x64.
I have drives on 1 through 4 that are detected and working properly,
however, a drive on 5 is not detected, from what i can tell, the
kernel doesn't even see phy's for ports 5 and 6.

How to deal with pciback?
Hello everybody,
for just one week I try to install three servers on an OpenSuSE 10.3
dom0 equipped with 4 NICs. One server is an OX using the onboard NIC via
xenbr0. This server runs!! For my IPCop server I intended to use the
three remaining NICs (Intel Pro100/S, 3Com 3C590, Realtek RTL-8139).
These three NICs should be used natively by my IPCop. So I tried to use
the pciback driver. I wrote a

Problems with pci passthrough with Xen 3.4.2
Hi all!.
First of all sorry about my English it''s not very fluid.
I have a small server based upon Supermicro X7DBN (Chipset IntelĀ®
5000P) motherboard and Intel Xeon E5320 (1,83Ghz) with 4Gb of FB-DIMM
RAM.
The OS is Debian Lenny in dom0 (2.6.26-2-xen-amd64) and Debian Lenny

Xen is 3.4.2 compiled from sources.
The problem comes when I need to passthrough

PCI passthrough to domU does not work with XEN 3.3
Hi!
As dom0 I''m running Ubuntu Hardy withe xen 3.3 from backports.
Reason to using xen 3.3 is that I could get Intrepid stock kernel to
work as domu with xen 3.2.
Now the problem I have is that I can''t passthrough PCI-devices to my domu.
If I run lspci in the domu nothing is returned.
I''ve tried to use the kernel from Hardy (2.6.24-21-xen) and stock
kernel from

PXE problem after CentOS reboot
Dear folks,
We are installing a large diskless cluster using CentOS 5.1. The
hardware is pretty new - Supermicro X7DWT boards with Harpertown CPUs.
Unfortunately we have some PXE-related problems described by the
following scenario:
1) Set up DHCP, TFTP and NFS on a server, prepare PXE kernel and initrd
- fine.
2) Start up the node using PXE for the first time - fine.
3) Reboot the node - PXE

PCI passthrough of a SATA/PATA controller, "FLR functionality not supported"
Hi there,
I have a question regarding PCI passthrough on the Citrix XenServer 5.6
(Xen 3.4.2).
I already managed to get some soundcard passed through to a Windows
guest. So I think my knowledge about that topic isn''t _that_ low. But I
cannot seem to pass through a SATA/PATA controller to a Linux guest.
I have some additional CD/DVD burner (PATA) attached to a SATA/PATA
controller

debian etch problems with networking and pciback.hide
Hi List,
please excuse that this post is again about networking with XEN.
Even though I googled and checked other posts for some days now I did not
manage to get my installation working.
Following some advises I used the late binding of pci.
So I created a /etc/modprobe.de/local and added:
options pciback hide=(03:00.0)(04:00.0)
install e1000 /sbin/modprobe pciback ;
/sbin/modprobe

"XENBUS: Device with no driver" errors on Debian
I am running debian lenny, with the standard Xen 3.2 packages, with
the 2.6.18-6-xen-686 kernel as dom0, and 2.6.24-1-xen-686 as domU.
Everything is working fine apart from the console and the PCI
passthrough. I am getting these errors in the domU on startup:
XENBUS: Device with no driver: device/pci/0
XENBUS: Device with no driver: device/console/0
Does this mean the modules are missing?
