Xen on AM2 nForce 590 (Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe)
While I wait for the Xen 3.0 Test CD to download, has anyone has luck
using an Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard (NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP
chipset)? The CPU is an AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ AM2 w/ 2GB DDR2 533.
The motherboard mostly works under Gentoo using kernel 2.6.18 with the
"noapic" kernel boot option in my grub.conf file. The only major issue
with the Gentoo kernel

Cheap ZFS homeserver.
So after toying around with some stuff a few months back I got bogged down and set this project aside for a while. Time to revisit. <BR><BR>
Looking around there still is not a good "these cards/motherboards" work list. the HCL is hardly ever updated, and its far more geared towards business use than hobbyist/home use. So bearing all of that in mind I will need the

xen 3.0.0 on CentaurHauls VIA Samuel 2
Was on irc for a bit and I''m looking for confirmation that Xen 3.0.0 will or
will not work on a C3-II CPU.
Found this thread:

network config files in centos 5 changing
What is happening in centos 5 with network config files???
I have a machine with 2 network cards.

Why is it doing this? How can I stop it?
I run "netconfig -d eth1" and re-setup my static information. I reboot and

size units in xen-create-image, and other newbie doubts
Greetings,
I'm fiddling with Xen at home, the dom0 is a freshly installed Debian
stable (current 6.0.6 squeeze) using LVM over RAID.
I want to use two VGs, so the pointy-clicky won't really do since
--lvm only takes one argument (i assume). That's no big deal, i can
use LVM tools and even the partitions.d scripts xen-tools can use and
provide a partition template through the

SMART
On Solaris x86, does zpool (or anything) support PATA (or SATA) IDE
SMART data? With the Predictive Self Healing feature, I assumed that
Solaris would have at least some SMART support, but what I''ve googled so
far has been discouraging.

Hardware requirements
I don't seem to be able to find the necessary hardware
specs for an Asterisk server. What I have in mind is a
dedicated server to serve 50 or so people. All users
will use SIP phones and there will be an ISDN gateway
for outgoing/incoming calls. Do you have any
suggestions about the server specs (CPU, RAM, HD,
etc)?
Also, has anyone used Epigi Quadro ISDN gateway with
Asterisk? If so, what is

[LLVMdev] Source file information.
Dear All,
To add to this, what you want to do is find the appropriate debug stop
point intrinsic and then use it to look up the information for that
instruction.
Here is some sample code from SAFECode that finds the debug information
associated with a CallInst (LLVM call instruction) held in the variable
CI. It uses the findStopPoint() function in llvm/Analyis/DebugInfo.h:

The best motherboard for a home ZFS fileserver
I''m a fan of ZFS since I''ve read about it last year.
Now I''m on the way to build a home fileserver and I''m thinking to go with Opensolaris and eventually ZFS!!
Apart from the other components, the main problem is to choose the motherboard. The offer is incredibly high and I''m lost.
Minimum requisites should be:
- working well with Open Solaris ;-)

Intel Mobo MARVEL RAID adapters and amd64 FreeBSD on QuadCore and i7 series Processors
These show up under Windows XP as if they are SCSI adapters (they're
not, obviously.)
Has there been any view towards supporting these on FreeBSD? They're on
all the recent Intel motherboards for the last year and a half or so.
Also, is there any particular benefit (or penalty) to running the amd64
build on Quad-Core or i7-series processors? I have an app that might
benefit from

Cannot get * to work on VIA 800 MOBO
Hi,
I cannot get * to run on my VIA 800 mini-itx MOBO. I keep getting "ouch...broken pipe" errors. I have downloaded mpg123-0.59r and compiled it, so I know that the problem isn't there. I edited *'s Makefile and uncommented the VIA processor section before I compiled Asterisk.
Can someone that's been successful with * and the VIA 800 mobo help me out?
Thanks,
Mike C.

Just a thought - what does ls -lF /var/run/nut/upsd.pid report when run as
root?
