domU NAT network cannot connect
Hi, I followed this guide<http://wiki.kartbuilding.net/index.php/Xen_Networking#Routed_Networking_with_NAT_2>, and started my xend service with nat-network support: (network-script network-nat) (vif-script vif-nat) Then I started my domU with the following vif configure: vif = [''ip=10.0.0.1'' ] my domU is a win7 system, and I configured the network as: ip:

Xen3: Unable to start xenU with Intel Core Duo T2050
I have problems to get Xen 3.0 working on my notebook (FSC AMILO Pro V3205). I already used different operating systems for the xen0 domain, like FC5, SUSE 10.1 und Debian SID (2.6.16-2-xen-smp) but i always run into the same trouble. When I try to start a xenU domain it always hangs and I get this: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- debian37:~# xm create

peth1 not created on boot, now what?
Here is the situation. I have a xen system with 2 drives setup in a RAID1. I pulled one drive and put it into an identical server. Now, when I boot up the new server, peth1 is not created. No eth0 device found in domU
Hi, I tried already a long time to enable network in my domU but I always fail with: # ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.1 up SIOCSIFADDR: No such device SIOCGIFFLAGS: No such device Do I need to load a kernel module? I use OpenSuse 10.2 with kernel 2.6.18.8-0.5-xen (for both domU and dom0). My config: kernel = "/boot/vmlinuz-xen" ramdisk = "/home/jens/initrd.gz" memory = 1024 name

xen4.2 + qemu-upstream domain rename partial failure (& migration)
I am seeing a problem with domain renames which I think affects everything running with the upstream qemu xen DM. If I create a domain, and then rename it, it renames in the xenstore, but it does not rename in qemu. This means that (interalia) the name on a VNC connection is incorrect. I am seeing this with a migration (where a libxl_domain_rename is done from "name--incoming" to

Multi-NIC Debian Xen Box
Hello, I''ve recently changed my xen network setup and now, almost expectedly, my configuration has broken access to the Domus from the network, and now I need a little help. Previously, I had four interfaces, only one of which was configured to be used by both dom0 and domu. I have since created a bond between eth2 and eth3, expecting that eth0 would be automatically assigned for use

No connection in DomUs with network-route
Hi, I would like to know if somebody can point me out how to configure several DomUs in a private LAN (for example 192.168.100.0/24) and one DomU with two interfaces (one - 192.168.100.0/24 and two - internet). So far I have enabled in xend-config.sxp: (network-script network-route) (vif-script vif-route) My config files have: /mnt/VM/1.cfg:vif = [''ip=192.168.1.3'']

Query about the vifX.Y interfaces
Hi all Really silly question here: do the vif interfaces require IP addresses? I''m totally stuck with getting IP traffic to my guest domain, layer 2 traffic (ie ARP queries/responces, broadcasts, etc) is all OK. Another question, what is peth0 used for? Thanks again CC Name ID Mem(MiB) VCPUs State Time(s) Domain-0 0 251

dom0 networking disabled
Hi folks, I''ve been trying to work out this situation for a few days now without much success and dug all over the archives for similar issues, none of which seem to relate exactly. I installed Debian Etch and the Xen (3.03) kernels / binaries on a Dell server. It works fantastic with all the default configurations with one strange flaw - as soon as the /etc/xen/scripts/network-bridge

xen hotplug scripts not working
Hello Everyone, I have set up a xen server with 10 physical network devices using the bridge mode of XEN. This is because I want to split and separate the network traffic for security reasons. Maybe the best way is to use pci back hide. But I want to understand what is going on here. For all testings I have only activated eth[0-3]. My first tests were successful. I have created a VM using

Multiple Network Cards + Multiple Bridges on debian lenny
Hi all, I''m searching for a tutorial how to setup multiple network cards with xen network bridge setup in debian lenny. My problem is, bridges seams only to work if i put an ip adress in dom0 to them. Bug#658263: xen-hypervisor-4.0-amd64: Different network traffic values from dom0 vs domU
Package: xen-hypervisor-4.0-amd64 Version: 4.0.1-4 Severity: normal Xen Networking[1] works by creating a new pair of virtual ethernet interfaces (vifN.M in dom0 and ethM in domU with id N) and connecting then by an internal "crossover ethernet cable". My understanding of the "internal crossover" thing is that networking statistics should be the same no matter if you measure

Qxl problem with xen domU, is xen spice and/or qemu bugs?
I''ve been trying to have all spice features working on xen domUs since the end of 2011. Basic functions were already working. Adding qemu parameters manually for vdagent and usbredirection was and is also working (I made the patches to support them directly on xl). Qxl was never working: one bug on xen and one on qemu about qxl are fixed, the other xen bug found months ago on the

mp3 queue problem
Hi! I'm using Icecast to stream ogg and mp3 audio streams. Usually i cast 4-5 ogg streams at time but yesterday i added 3 mp3 streams to my server. After several hours the mp3 (and only mp3) ones stop to work with no apparent reason. The only strange thing i could observe is that the recv-Q showed in netstat is full of data that can't be handled by icecast and the quantity of data

RE: Missed interrupt. Increasing latency to 5 ms in orderto compensate.
Is it possible the cpu(s) are being taxed? If they are under heavy load (from another domain most likely) it may cause the domain to not respond to interrupts in a timely manner. If this is the case, you might try changing the scheduling weights of your domains (search the list). _____ From: xen-users-bounces@lists.xensource.com [mailto:xen-users-bounces@lists.xensource.com] On Behalf Of
