New R CGI gateway: TKU-Stat
Hi boys and girls,
This is to let you know that I am writing a new R CGI gateway: TKU-Stat
which has its page on
http://tkustat.stat.tku.edu.tw
(There is an "English" option on main menu)
It's based on PHP language, but it's NOT a R <-> PHP API
(I am not a good C programmer :( )
It's just a CGI. Basically, I use PHP and some template engine

Developing custom PCI devices in qemu
Hi All
I am interested in developing a custom PCI device for qemu.
For learning purpose, It could be just a very basic device e.g. a device
which just loopbacks the contents from device memory to some system buffer.
Please guide me how such a device can be developed in qemu.
Do qemu have some device model or device framework for developing custom
virtual devices?
Any documentation and samples

Hi,
I have a linux box with two dsl modems on it (connection is done via
pppoe), I''m trying to route default traffic on the primary connection
(ppp0) and mail traffic on another one (ppp1). This traffic will come
from the localhost.
I run Slackware 9.1 (Kernel 2.4.22), recompiled with necessary options
for using iproute2.
According to the advanced routing howto, I did the following

"yum search" can't find some of the packages. Is there some sort of

all the way from setup to handling large number of users.
Thank all of you for asking questions on this

Suggestions for Developing Reports App Using Rails
Hi there guys,
I''m in the need of developing an application to generate reports based on a legacy database.
Has anyone played in this area before? Any suggestions on how this can be accomplished using Rails? Gems, tools, etc?
Oh, the data store is an Oracle Database, which I think doesn''t really matter as the framework is agnostic.
Thanks,

Who's developing mwEmbed?
Recently I found out about mwEmbed[1] which seems to me to be a great tool to
embed theora videos with a fallback mechanism in place and a really smooth
user experience.
Since I am testing the tool for use in my blog and other websites at the
moment I would like to know who is actually developing that tool and where to
report bugs. (e.g. it doesn't work yet in Opera 10.50 which is a

developing a package with a name space
Hello -
I'm currently maintaining an R package that uses a name space, and am
also starting a new R package that will use a name space.
According the the R News June 2003 issue, "Adding a name space to a
package may complicate debugging code ... it is a good idea not to add a
name space to a package until it is completely debugged, and to remove
the name space if further debugging
