A working SIP Phone for Centos44?
I tried numerous but most of them just don't work. They fail on the quality of the microphone. I tried two that support alsa. Kphone does, but dtmf (the numbers) are not recognized by Asterisk :-( I tried X-lite, but that has really terrible voice quality (mic). I tried Sflphone (has alsa support) and that worked on FC4 (not on FC3) and it does not work on Centos44 either: [root at raaf

Kickstart syntax for CentOS upgrade
I'd like to automate the upgrade from CentOS 4.6 to 5.1 as much as possible. Since upgrades per se are not really recommended, I'm planning to do a kickstart installation. However, I want to leave one of the existing partitions (/scratch) untouched during the installation. Here is my current layout (LogVol00 is swap so not shown in the df output below): # df -hl

Software RAID + LVM + Grub
I'm playing with software RAID and LVM in some virtual machines and I've run into an issue that I can't find a good answer to in the docs. I have the following RAID setup: md0: sda1 and sdb1, RAID 1. This is /boot md1: sda2 and sdb2, RAID 1. This is a PV for LVM. VolGroup00, this is the volume group and md1 is the only PV in it. LogVol00 is swap LogVol01 is / LogVol02 is /home

mounting an lvm partition via a USB adapter
I am trying to mount this (my old hard drive) from my Centos 5 install as a USB drive so I can copy files over. I have made the change to max_luns so that I can have more than one drive on a USB drive. The first partition, /dev/sda1 mounts automatically as /boot_ The second partition, /dev/sda2 is the one I really want and it is an lvm partition. When I am booted from this drive (as the

I used the installation documention on RedHat's enterprise site to go thru the installation/configuration for this. I didn't receive any

Re: URGENT: OCFS2 hang - 32 node cluster POC
Run: # top # vmstat 1 # iostat -x /dev/emcpowerb 1 The latter two you can save to a file. For top, just monitor cpu usage and see if any process is hogging all of it. GNU Telephony Centos repository
The Gnu Telephony site: http://wiki.gnutelephony.org Has a Centos repo: http://dist.gnutelephony.org/RPMS/ But I caught some text stating that this is for Centos 4.2. Is it really? Is there a difference; i.e. would it be safe to install these on Centos 4.4? Really I am after Twinkle, and it seems there is a lot you need to actually get Twinkle installed...
