kernel: 4gb seg fixup messages...
Hey everyone, I''ve searched through all of the previous posts and tried everything mentioned but I am still getting these messages. Is there anything else I can do? My host machine is running CentOS 5 w/ Xen 3.3.1. My Xen VM is also running CentOS 5. I''ve tried doing: # echo ''hwcap 0 nosegneg'' > /etc/ld.so.conf.d/libc6-xen.conf && ldconfig

Re: 4gb seg fixup errors fc6
It is a quite "old" post but the same error at debian etch mv /lib/tls /lib/tls.disable <--- at the vm helped to avoid those messages mfg matthias old mail: Hi. I recently upgraded to fc6. I''m using the fc6 supplied xen packages. However, now all my VM''s are logging entries like: 4gb seg fixup, process sshd (pid 1162), cs:ip 73:008d8cfc printk: 185714 messages

libc6-xen not used on AMD Geode LX system
Hi, I'm trying to install xen+Debian Etch on a Geode LX system. Xen boots fine, but although the package "libc6-xen" is installed I have a large number of such errors: 4gb seg fixup, process syslogd (pid 1878), cs:ip 73:b7f24610 All processes triggers it, and from what I've found on the web it's a sign that libc6-xen is not recognized. 4gb seg fixup errors
Hi, I am running Debian etch on dom0. I want to run debian unstable on one DomU, but I keep getting 4gb seg fixup errors, presumably because the libc6-xen installed there is much newer than on Dom0 (or perhaps there is some bug with Xen and libc6-xen version 2.7-16). I have two questions; 1. Why does the libc version on Dom0 matter at all for DomU (if that is the case)? As far as I've read,

libc6 packages that really support nosegneg?
I've tried the libc6-xen package posted at: http://people.debian.org/~aurel32/xen/ However, it looks like programs are still calling the libc6 libraries in /lib/tls, instead of the xen-enabled ones. Is there anything special I need to do to get this to work, or is the package just busted? Thanks! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | nate carlson |

Rspec2 for rails 2.3.8?
Hi experts, I picked up a copy of the rspec book and wrote some tests in spec/lib and spec/models for my Rails 2.3.8 code. I was using rspec 2.5.1, rspec-core 2.5.0, rspec-expectations 2.5.0 et. al. But I realised that the rspec-rails version I am using is meant for Rails3. Which version of rspec-rails should I use for Rails 2.3.8? Best, Radhesh -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Segmentation fault (Debian slink+libc6 2.1)
Hi, I've just upgraded my debian machine to the 2.1 libc6 libraries, and I started getting segmentation faults with R. I tried re-compiling and got the same problem. I checked with the dependencies for the binary package, and I have all the required libraries. Any ideas? correct order to rebuild init after libc6-xen?
Hello to all, Its been requested that I stifle the /lib/tls warning given even with xen-friendly libc6 because init was compiled otherwise. I got the deb sources for sysvinit from Ubuntu, which build just fine. The last time I tried this I ended up breaking signals to init (even though /dev/initctl was there and 666) and could not reboot. So for a new server, I''m going to : Base

Can't get dropbook to work on FC6 wine
I recently upgraded to FC6, well, I actually did a clean reinstall. Anyway I did a yum install wine as root and it went through with no errors. I tried to run dropbook and it draws the window and some times the controls but it doesn't respond to mouse clicks except for the close button to which I get the not responding dialog with the force quit option which I choose. dropbook did run under
