XCP French keymap problem
Hi everyone,
has anyone succeded to get something else than plain qwerty keyboard
layout on XCP? I have a French layout keyboard and I can''t get the
mapping to be ok in the VMs, weither it be linux PV or windows HVM.
I first tried with openxencenter (very good software by the way), then
with the xcp xapi debug web page applet, then with ssh port forwarding,
and I always get the same

Keyboard repeat error - VNC Xen virtual framebuffer
Hello Xen-Users,
I am currently provisioning old Linux guests as HVM on a server, and giving
clients access through VNC. The current setup uses the default Xen
framebuffer as a VNC server (all configuration files have vnc=1 and a few
other settings), and my clients are using vinagre (a.k.a. Remote Desktop
Viewer) on Arch as their VNC client.
Problem: Keyboard input is not consistently handled

How to setup the keyboard map in the VNC server?
Hello.
This is my first experience with Xen.
I set up a machine to server as a Xen host, and am now in the process of
installing a Windows XP guest.
When I get to typing the Windows XP license key, my keyboard keys are all
mangled (I have a french keyboard, but it seems to be in QWERTY in the VNC
server, though some keys are not in the place they should be on a american
keyboard). I

CentOS 7 on Macbook Pro : keyboard mapping problem
Hi,
Some time ago I installed CentOS 7 on an older MacBook Pro for a client,
since she couldn't install a more recent version of Mac OS X on it.
The installation was a bit of an adventure, and I wrote a little article
about it:
https://blog.microlinux.fr/centos-7-macbook-pro/
I made this installation about a year ago, and the only thing I changed
since then is replacing Xfce by GNOME.

[PATCH]Add the Japanese keymap for VNC Server.
Hi All,
My name is Takanori Kasai.
This is a first time to send mail.
I found the key that was not able to be input to HVM Domain
(VTx and VTi Domain) through VNC Server with Japanese keyboard.
I think that it is a cause by lack of some keys
in Japanese keymap and the key symbol table in qemu-dm.
This patch is addition of the keys for Japanese keyboard.
My best regards.

problem with pciback
Hello,
I''m attempting to run Windows XP in a domU using the PCs actual
graphics card. I believe I''ve set everything up correctly, including
the pciback module etc.
I''ve set pciback to grab the graphics card and all the USB hosts as well:

VNC keymap problems
Hello list,
I''m testing HVM and my test guest (in this case Ubuntu 9.04) has
vnc = 1
keymap = ''fi''
in the configuration file. After starting the guest I noticed that few keys are
incorrect:
< produces Z
> (shift + <) produces X
& (shift + 6) produces K
'' produces B
Everything else seems to be correct. But this means I can''t produce

Re: virsh -c xen:/// list: = Connection refused, Set up Xen 3.4.2 & Libvirt 0.6.1 on top of Ubuntu 9.04 Server
Following your suggestions (except 1) :-
1. Made direct port Xen 3.4.2 to Ubuntu Jaunty Server & applied ext4 patch for pygrub from Mark Johnson (MRJ)
2. Edited xend-config.sxp
(xend-http-server yes)
# service xend restart
# ln -s /usr/local/bin/pygrub /usr/lib/xen-default/bin/pygrub
# apt-get install virt-manager libvirt-bin kvm
# export VIRSH_DEFAULT_CONNECT_URI="xen:///"

Totally being a newby to xensource I downloaded the iso image of xensource

Success story
hello,
just for a success story :
After bad experience on fedeora core 6, I have tested a OpenSuse 10.2beta2.
I have installed with success a Windows XP SP2.
The hardware:
A intel DQ965gf
Intel Core 2 Duo 6700
USB DVD reader
IDE disk (PATA)
Set AHCI mode in BIOS and add all-generic-ide in boot option.
The opensuse 10.2beta2 does not well configured the xen kernel, you should do a

Syslinux keyboard mappings
Hi,
I finally want to end the fights we have had in the past with keyboard
mappings. I already curse the person who is responsible for this keyboard
mess (and even more the persons who could have create a 'detect keyboard'
kind of functionality in modern PCs :))
But the general problem is this, BIOSes are US qwerty, Belgium uses
be-latin1 (azerty with lots of custom keys). And to

[PATCH] Simple emulation of host keyboard and mouse for gfx_passthru.
Hi,
to use the host keyboard and touchpad of my laptop while running a HVM guest
with passthroughed primary gfx-card I wrote a simple emulation.
To activate it change
gfx_passthru=1 -> gfx_passthru=1001
in the domU config file. This was done this way to have a small footprint.
Also the embedding in helper2.c is a little bit awkward.
Another problem using this way is that the VT in dom0 is not

Problem with keyboard layout
Hi!
I'm trying to set up a fully virtualized server using Xen; both host and
guest operating system is CentOS-5.2. Otherwise it seems to work fairly
well, but I can't get my finnish keyboard work correctly for the
guest (when using virt-viewer. No problems on the host).
In the beginning, using default settings, the behaviour was as if the
keyboard layout had been set to "U.S.

Prototype to use QEMU for PV guest framebuffer
As many of us are all too painfully aware we have completely different VNC
server implementations for paravirt vs fullyvirt Xen guests. The former
based on libvncserver, the latter integrated into QEMU. There are many new
and interesting ideas being tried out in the VNC server space in particular
wrt to virtualization and having to implement them all twice is not very
desirable. Also
