Specify glibc version to run/compile wine against?
If I understand it correctly, Wine will work properly with either a (newish) glibc and a (newish) linux kernel with NPTL/TLS support, or with an old (2.2.x) glibc and an old kernel.
I have an "old" (2.4.x) kernel without NPTL/TLS support, and a new glibc (2.3.4 or something). Is it possible to install an old glibc as well, and compile/run Wine against it? If so, how do I instruct the

weird hvm performance issue.
(I posted this on xen-users last week, and nobody seemed to know what was

one of you could point me in the correct direction to begin
troubleshooting this.)
I''m HVM booting our install-disks (systemimager) here, and I''m spotting some

yum update - Glibc Problem
Hi,
I've just done a fresh install of Centos 4.0 on a Via C3 Based system
using the Centos DVD I downloaded a while ago.
Then install goes though fine as does running 'yum check-update'.
However when running the actual 'yum update', it downloads all the
headers but afterwards displays the following errors:-

gettext does not work after glibc update
Hi,
I recently upgraded my system to CentOS 4.6 and noticed that gettext
does not behave as before the update. As soon as I install the old glibc
version (glibc-2.3.4-2.36) instead of the new one (glibc-2.3.4-2.39) it
works again.
See the Attachment for details.
Any hints would be appreciated!
Thank you,
Christoph
