RE: [PATCH] - make qemu serial summagraphics settings a bitmore fluid
Ben-
I like the idea but I don''t understand how this patch can work:
1) You never put a name into `serial_devices[]'' for the summa port.
The loop in `main'' that initializes the serial devices only calls
`qemu_chr_open'' if there''s a string name in `serial_devices''. How did
you get this to work?
2) Minor point, I don''t see the need

Windows XP mouse support over VNC
Hey,
Has anyone been able to get the mouse to track
correctly on a Windows XP guest using VNC? I''m
running Xen3.0.2 (built from source). I''ve tried the
Summagraphics mouse driver (following the instructions
in the Xen docs), but it appears to do nothing. The
XP guest boots and says "Error: tablet device not
found".
Adding some hooks into the tools/ioemu/hw/pckbd.c

linux summagraphics support??
Help please! Has anyone actually gotten the summagraphics tablet support to work on a linux HVM guest over VNC? I''ve followed the directions in the user manual, but X crashes with an error message in /var/log/Xorg.0.log of:
Timeout while reading SummaSketch tablet. No tablet connected??
No core pointer
Does the summagraphics mouse actually work as advertized? Thanks!

"Xenoppix-x86-64(Xen3.0.2+KNOPPIX-x86_64-5.0.1) CD size" is released.
Dear,
"Xenoppix-x86-64(Xen3.0.2+KNOPPIX-x86_64-5.0.1) CD size" is released.
http://unit.aist.go.jp/itri/knoppix/xen/index-en.html
Xenoppix-x86-64 exploits latest CPU (Intel Core2 Duo and AMD Athlon64).
* Xenoppix-x86-64 boots both X86 and X86_64 linux kernel on HVM of Xen.
* Xenoppix-x86-64 looks like KNOPPIX but all packages are replaced for X86_64.
* Xenoppix-x86-64 also

dom0 uses 98% of the CPU''s with o without any domU''s
Hi all,
Using xentop you can see dom0 uses 98% of the CPU''s with o without any
domU''s running.
Using top on dom0 shows cpu nearly 100% idle
The pc has an intel dual core processor running xen3.0.2
Booting a domU and domU performance is bad.
Any ideas please?
Chris.

Qemu-0.8.1 based ioemu preview available
Hello,
A preview of the qemu 0.8.1 based ioemu is now available at:
http://xenbits.xensource.com/chris/add-ioemu-new and
http://xenbits.xensource.com/chris/enable-ioemu-new
In addition to these two patches, you need a copy of qemu-0.8.1 and
place it into tools/ioemu-new -- one option is the tarball available at
http://xenbits.xensource.com/chris/ioemu-cvs-qemu-0.8.1.tar.bz2 which

32E (64bit) VMX keyboard is out of control, if given an addition ''hde''
Hi,
This issue only happens on my IA32E VMX domain. IA32 VMX domain is okay.
I am trying VBD disk in IA32E VMX domain. I used following disk configuration to create an IA32E VMX domain.
disk = [ ''file:/mnt/disk1.img,hda,w'', ''file:/mnt/disk2.img,hde,w'' ]
After creating VMX, its keyboard can not be used properly. For example, if pressing

Is it possible to run two or more multiboot linux installations on a single drive using Xen.
Hi all,
I have a multiboot configuration with 2 linuxes using grub as a boot
loader. Both are working installations independently of Xen.
I have installed Xen kernels on both systems.
I want to boot one of the two systems as Domain 0, and the other as
Domain 1 so that I can run the two systems simultaneously.
Is this possible? If so, how? If not, why not.
TIA,

RE: Does my platform support VT? (dell 1855/Xeon/linu x)
Hi,
Stop me If I am wrong but DELL 1855 aren''t shipped with Dual Core Xeons ....
So you shouldn''t have any VT support on your server.

qemu on Vt-x
Hello,
I don''t have a Vt-x machine on which I can test and see; I have
a question regarding running qemu on Vt-x xen machines.
xen-unstable has a config file example: dist/install/etc/xen/xmexample.hvm
In this file we have the follwoing line:
device_model = ''/usr/'' + arch_libdir + ''/xen/bin/qemu-dm''
The use manual says about the device_model:
