Hotkey between Xorg and Wine applications
Hello!
I'm trying to install a Windows application called Macro Express, wich
automatizes a lot of process with recorded macros. The macros are called by
pressing Hotkeys combinations like Control+1 or Control+2 etc. Then, the
macro sends keys to applications.
I have installed the program on kubuntu and Wine 0.9.30. The problems are
that it only regonizes Hotkeys when Macro Express window is

iowait / Perfomance problems with xen on drbd (centos 5.2)
Hi,
we have 2 servers on centos5.2 in a cluster with the redhat cman in the
configuration
SERVER1 > LVM \
CMAN DRBD > XEN
SERVER2 > LVM /
For each xen we create a new local LVM on each node, put them in a drbd
and install an os (debian 4 or ubuntu 8). The xens are running as pvm.
Everything works fine since over 4 months now.
But we have some performance-Problems:

general Gauss-Newton or support for NSUR: contemporaneously correlated non-linear models
Dear r-Help readers,
1) Is there support for NSUR in some R package yet?
2) Is there a general function of applying the Gauss-Newton or Marquard
method, in which the function of calculating the partial derivatives can
be specified by the user?
Contemporaneously correlated non-linear models (NSUR) is a method to fit
a system of non-linear equations.
I want to use to fit several non-linear

Xen domU crashes accessing to drbd disk if using maxmem.
Hello all,
I''ve just installed a new dom0 with openSUSE 11.3 (x86_64)
and I''m seeing domUs crashes when reading from disks.
The problem occours when in domU configuration I use
memory=1024
maxmem=2048
My setup is DRBD on LVM on Software RAID 10 and drbd
devices are used as disks for domUs, using
phy:/dev/drbd0,hda,w
phy:/dev/drbd1,hdb,w
The domU in test is HVM, I''m

[patch] ipconfig fixes + run-init nit
hello,
Preparing my first klibc maintainenace release. :)
My plan is to have the patches cook in klibc-queue and once
everythings is fine deploy them in the main klibc repo.
Please test/review belows patches.
I plan to release the current queue really soon for klibc 1.5.20
due to the urgent ipconfig fixes. For now you find my patch queue on:

Missing memory when using maxmem
I am trying to allow domains'' memory allocation to be altered by using
both the "memory" and "maxmem" options in my config files (i.e. set
maxmem to some large value to allow the domain to be resized up to that
amount, and memory to set the initial allocation).
However I appear to lose potentially quite a large chunk of memory as I
use a larger "maxmem"

using maxmem
Hi,
I am using xen 4.0.1 from debian Squeeze repositories and dom0 has
kernel 2.6.32-5-xen-amd64(also stock debian).
I wanted to set a high value to maxmem in my xmdomain.cfg vm config
files so that I can increase memory as needed without rebooting.
Unfortunately as soon as I set this paramater I see really wiered things.
For example, I am trying to install a windows HVM guest. When maxmem is

Bryce 5.5 once ran, before update.
In the application database, there is a revue according to which Bryce 5.5 does not run under WINE. But not having looked at the AppDB first, I went ahead and installed Bryce 5.5 some months ago, which ran fine under WINE 0.9.44 or some such version...
Here is an old screenshot of the app, which has been used to render a tree on the Linux Box. (Kanotix 2006-RC4)

[LLVMdev] Stack implementation
I'm translating the source of stack-based virtual machine into LLVM IR and
my plan is to implement the stack in LLVM IR (using alloca/load/store) in
order to emulate the VM's stack and then use the optimization phase
"mem2reg". Therefore I'm going to have a stack pointer that points to the
top of my stack. I'm curious whether I will have to implement that in a
