connection state tracking with DNS [was Primary DNS...]
Hi, I would like to see this addressed.
I found more information on the issue at
https://kb.isc.org/article/AA-01183/0/Linux-connection-tracking-and-DNS.html
Is there a firewalld solution to this issue?

QueryParser.parse question
Hi there,
I am stomped as to why QueryParser''s parse method behaves differently
between query ''a'' and ''b''.
See http://pastie.caboo.se/private/4rlwrecyyow3yl6qtf4tq
Could someone please help me understand why that is the case.
p.s. I also found ''i'' produce the same behavour as ''a''
Cheers,

tinc - switch mode bridge
Hi
I am testing running tinc in switch mode. , my topology is as follows
Site 1 (tinc-srv01) -> Site 2 (tinc-srv02)
I have configured the bridge interfaces with ip addresses and able to ping
between bridges. I then setup a server on each site and tested layer 2
connectivity between the two servers. Topology as follows.
Server 1 - *Site 1* (tinc-srv01) -> *Site 2* (tinc-srv02) - Server 2

Preferred method of provisioning VM images
Hi all,
following the discussion on about documentation, I was wondering whether
we need to look at a standard way in which we recommend how to provision
images for VMs. Am starting this with a Xen hat, but the discussion
should not be specific to this. There are a number of options, but all
have some trade-offs

ddos attack causes high ksoftirqd cpu use
Hello List!
I got a small (50mbits or so) application layer ddos attack against a
few name servers (thousands of IPs sending lots of bogus A record
requests - weird) - one of the name servers was behind a shorewall
firewall. That firewall was running a 2.6.18-194.11.1.el5 kernel and
shorewall-4.4.11.1-1. I noticed that the shorewall host had ksoftirqd
using 100% of the CPU during the

Getting ip_conntrack: table full, dropping packet on shorewall-lite
I have a bunch of servers, where I''ve deployed shorewall-lite. For us
is very useful to have a centralized repository of the firewall rules
deployed in our servers. One of this servers is pretty busy, handling
lots of connections. In that server I''m getting from time to time this
message: ip_conntrack: table full

then the left end (1st example) or both ends (2nd example) of the lines
are not rectangular but slanted on the graphical display (screen).

Configuration for NATing VMs in a host
Hi all!,
I have a setup in which I want to NAT several Virtual Machines from the host based on ports all of them running CentOS 7.1.
The idea is I have several different services running in different VMs and all of them are accessible from the host using different ports that are forwarded to the correct ones in the VMs.
I’ve been able to set this up and running configuring the VMs with a virtio

New PowerPC Code Owner
Hi, everyone,
I'm currently the code owner for the PowerPC target. I worked on the
PowerPC target for many years, and that was a lot of fun, but I've not
been directly involved in development for PowerPC for some time. I would
like to nominate Nemanja Ivanovic for the role of PowerPC target code
owner. Insofar as a code owner is responsible for making sure that
patches are reviewed,
