PCI passthrough of cciss HBA
All, I would like to run the following issue past the list to confirm that my problem analysis makes sense or whether I missed something: We have a HP ML370G6 server with VT-x and VT-d enabled in the BIOS. Migration from VMWare to HP Blade
Hi all, A few months ago, I migrated some of our internal servers to HP blades, as the VMWare box they were previously running on was getting too slow. However, it wasn't without it's problems, and eventually the only way I could get them to work was: Install the same version of CentOS on the blade (believed to be 5.0, but /etc/redhat-release says 5.2) Took down both servers, booting

Fun with CAPI
Hullo :) Can someone help me untangle a bit of a mess? I'm trying to set up a demo * server to show off how useful it can be to our business (as an IVR system and VoIP backup if our ISDN30s fail). I've not been able to get NT mode working with our InterTel Axxess PBX, so I've resorted to using normal TE mode and working on the basis the people dial one of the ISDN BRI extension

It just displays GRUB The cursor is positioned to the right of a space after GRUB, and no input is accepted. I've tried booting in rescue mode and run: chroot /mnt/sysimage grub-install /dev/cciss/c0d0 This completes without errors, but still it can't boot. It's a HP/Compaq

The OS is RedHat EL4 U5 x86_64. Every time during reboot these systems panic after the last umount and I believe before the cciss driver is getting unloaded. It would seem an odd question, but I'm trying to put together a little presentation on 'Why Asterisk?' and need to list Pros and Cons.... I've got plenty of Pros (including the availability of commercial support), but the only Con I can think of is 'Relatively few installations worldwide' Can anyone think of any others? Cheeres, Gavin.

3.5 kernel panic on boot
Yes, I know 3.5 is old. However in this case it's required for a legacy app. a fresh install get's me: kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k block-major-104, errno = 2 followed by: VFS: Cannot open root device "cciss/c0d0p2" or 68:02 The system is an HP DL380 G4. any thought on what could cause this? the rescue system is able to mount the disk and grub-install
