IAX2 tolerance on packet losses
Hello, I'm experiencing some problems with running IAX2 protocol on quite reliable link with G729A codec. My customer has 2mb FR link to the Internet used in about 20%. Ping statistics: 50 packets transmitted, 49 received, 2% packet loss, time 49496ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 9.308/13.126/33.307/4.851 ms Everything would be great, but the quality isn't good enough. I have 2mb/512kb DSL

glm.fit() and binomial family
Hi all, I'm interested in updating glm using glm.fit() (of course my final output is different, but the problem is in glm.fit()). Then my function is, say: fn<-function(obj,z){ X<-update(obj,x=T)$x X<-cbind(X,z) y<-obj$y fam<-family(obj) o<-obj$offset contr<-obj$control w<-obj$weights

packet loss
Hello! We switched to VPN tinc, a network of about 20 machines in cloud, setting TCPOnly = yes, everything works fine, except for one host on Windows, which is loaded with traffic, losses amount to about 20%, set the setting ProcessPriority = high, no changes, before it used OPENVpn loss did not occur, do not tell me what settings can change to avoid losses? -- Andrei Rubtsov -------------- next

Photoshop menus
Hi, Wine 0.9.17 user here having bad headaches with Photoshop menus... When choosing an option from the context menu or some other sorts of drop downs, the respective areas are not clickable even they are highlighted. Other thing would be that when I'm opening Blending Options, set some effects, then click OK, the tool windows is disappearing ... Could you advise on this matter, please?

Randomly occurring file losses on samba share
Hello, further investigating the problem we were able to provoke an issue that might be related to the initial problem and could be reproduced with a higher likelihood. The core of the reproducible problem is, that sometimes a file is being created by an application running on the client, but then cannot be written to. Therefore the application throws permission related errors and documents

No text displayed
Even though the applications seem to run smoothly on the backend, there is no text displayed whatsoever. No text on buttons, no text in drop downs, no text anywhere, period. This problem exists across all programs being run and even affects winecfg. Both the latest corefonts and fontforge packages are installed. I am assuming that this is some sort of configuration misunderstanding, possibly

wine on RAM?
Hi, Is there a way to run wine in RAM only using tmpfs? kinda like a portable application running from a flash disk? I have a slow harddisk, and to alleviate the issue, I run Firefox Portable thru wine from RAM. However, I think wine running locally is causing slow downs when a few tabs are open etc. Thanks

Packet Loss !!
We have been using HTB for last 10-11 months without any problem. But from last few days we have been facing huge packet loss when we turn on traffic shaping using HTB. I upgraded to 2.4.24 kernel (without any htb patch), still there is same problem. Avg. traffic is around 2Mbps and 4Mbps at peak hours. There are around 110 HTB classes and SFQ attached to each class. We are using 4 port Tulip

VERY odd HTTP Packet Loss
I''m running Xen 4.1.4 on Fedora 17. I have some CentOS 6 DomUs - an haproxy machine and some tomcat VMs. When clients send requests with: POST /ProposalInterface HTTP/1.1 Content-Type: text/xml Host: www.myhost.co.uk Content-Length: 2099 Expect: 100-continue Connection: Keep-Alive The "continuation" doesn''t happen. The POST is truncated at 1449 bytes, and the

How to delay computer reboot until battery has recharged?
Hello all, I'm using Nut quite happily with my Powerware 9125 and 9115 UPSs. I'd like to delay restoring power to the computers after a loss of power shutdown until a reasonable battery charge has been restored, to prevent repeated shut downs in a brown out or storm situation. I know I read somewhere how to do this months ago, but now that I need to implement it, I can't seem

Windows Nut Client supporting hibernate.
I am aware of 2 windows nut clients both interestingly called winnut. One (winnut 2.0.0b) is a service based client based on a port of the but client code (I think). The other is a GUI client based on (I think again) on knutclient . I have corresponded with both authors about a feature request - to allow the shut-down action to be (optionally) a windows hibernate. This seems a very

Kernel 2.6.32-358 networking issues...
Hi, after a long general power failure, I had to power off/on my soon to be 6.4 firewall (updated to 6.4, but not rebooted yet). After the off/on, everything seemed to be fine. But I realized there were some specific/weird heavy slow downs. In one case, the windows clients *uploads* would stall (very slow), while the linux clients had no apparent upload issues... (MTU?). In another case, the

We are looking for a solution to allow us to add/remove PRI cards without shutting down the system Is there such a thing as an asterisk compatible

Xen and bonding on Centos 5.2
Hi folks, I am stuck with a weird phenomenon. I have set up two servers as xen servers with bonded interfaces (mode 1). The bond interface works fine on both servers as long as xen is not used. When using xen's network-bridge script (with netdev=bond0), one server works fine without problems, and the other starts upping and downing the slave interfaces of the bond in a very fast manner
