routing in xen 3.0 domU: icmp gets routed, but tcp/ip only partially
Hello folks,
I have a really strange routing problem that no amount of
googling and experimenting has been able to solve. Then
again, I''m new to Xen and "advanced" networking, so I could
be missing something very basic.
Summary: an unprivileged domU with PCI frontend for a NIC
is used as a router; icmp gets routed, but tcp/ip only
partially. I''m using a xen-unstable

How to configure two NICs on a DomU?
Hi,
When I install Oracle RAC on Xen VM, some problem occurred. How can
I configure two NICs on a Xen''s DomU. You know, RAC''s installation requires
two NICs on a node. I am a newbie about Xen. Please give me some advice.
Thanks.

Seeing the IP addresses of domUs from dom0
Using a default xen3.0.1 setup for dom0(rhel4 distro) and domUs (gentoo,
rhel4, centos4.2 distros, ttylinux) with the domUs all having dhcp
turned on, is there an easy way to tell from within the dom0 what ip
addresses were assigned to the domUs after bootup?

xen + centos + areca raid issues
I am trying to run a new server with centos + xen using centos xen packages.
After installation, we had to install a hardware raid card (areca) on the
machine, and thus reload the os. It so happens the drivers shipped aren''t
compatible with xen kernel, so i was forced to compile xen from source to
compile areca drivers.
Now with system running under compiled xen, i cannot boot my old

Is there a way to setup cpu scheduling commands from inside the config file

individual scripts for each domU
Is there a way to run individual scripts when a domU is started up ? I want
to run certain commands each time a domU is booted up. These are different
for each domU.
I know i can make shell scripts which run those commands and in turn use
those scripts to start and stop the domU''s, however i was wondering if there
is a provision in xen for something of this sort.
Thanks.

LVM2 snapshots and XEN = problem :(
Hello guys
Does anyone use lvm2 backends for domU storages ? I do and I wanted to
use lvm''s snapshot feature to make backups of domUs in background but I
got the following problem.
When I create a snapshot LV and copy data from it to backup storage it
works perfect.
Then I do umount and then lvremove. lvremove asks me if I really want to
remove the volume and then just hangs forever.
