My IPSEC performance doesn''t exeed about 30kbyte/sec even if my downlink is 1024kbit/sec and should reach more than 100kbyte/sec. No, its not the cpu''s performance (AMD Barton 2500+) and no it''s not the gateway (CELERON 600 Mhz) on the

XEN 2.0.1/Xenolinux 2.6.9 domain0 not booting on Debian Sarge / P4 Xeon
Hi all I am in the process of upgrading my XEN servers from 2.4 to 2.6 kernels as I am having better results on 2.6. However one machine (the big daddy) refuses to boot a 2.6.9 xenolinux kernel. It''s an IBM eSeries xServer x205. I have selected what i think are the appropriate options in menuconfig but it refuses to boot into dom0. By refuse I mean it initialises the hypervisor,

Re: W2K3 Server Installation fails with ACPI=1 on
Hi Stefan, The problem is cause by the VBD/VNIF PCI device in DM checked in changeset 11160: PCI Device ID: 5853(Xen),class:ff80 (unknown) ACPI Window does not understand this device and can not find device driver associate with it. To verify this just revert the patches of changset 11161/11160 We are working on the fix now, revert patch is not the solution anyway... Thanks, Winston

Vista?
I''ve noticed on this list that people have been successful in installing Vista under Xen. I don''t get past the first black screen with the gray bar at the bottom where it says that "Windows is loading files". I''ve tried the same F5 (and other F key routines that seemed to work with XP) but to no avail. I''m running xen 3.0.3-25.0.3 on a HP Proliant

kernel 2.6.16.* with xen 3.0.2?
Hi, are there any patches for getting linux kernel 2.6.16.* working with xen 3.0.2. A friend told me .1 works fine, and .5 does not work at all, but maybe that information is outdated? Also there seem to be a number of security issues (2.6.16.9 was released today), so it would be nice if we could use the latest stable kernel with these fixes. are there patches to fix any problem with xen

Supermicro X7DVL-E and Xeon L5320 installation problems
Tearing our hair out on this one. Trying to install CentOS 5 x86_64 on a Supermicro X7DVL-E with 2 Xeon L5320 quad core CPUs, 3Ware SATA RAID controller in a mirrored setup and 4 GB of memory. Installation crashes at random places while copying the files. We've run memtest86 for 24 hours without any errors, replaced the RAID controller, motherboard and disks, but still no luck.

I'm booting the default kernel on a dual quad core Xeon machine. I only see four CPUs and I expect to see 8. Do I have to build a custom kernel? Is there a switch or configuration parameter I need to set? Thanks, Jerry -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
