Interested in helping Nouveau
Hi everyone,
I know there's a TODO page on the wiki, but it's kind of old (may),
and it doesn't really indicate priorities. So I thought I'd list my
skillset and interests here, and let those who are experienced with
nouveau development point me to a good place to start.
I'm currently running a P4 (presler) with a GeForce 6600. The family

generating a random signal with a known correlation
Hi,
How can I generate a random signal that's correlated with a given signal at
a given correlation (say 0.7)?
I've been looking at rmvnorm etc but don't seem to figure it out. Thanks

create sequences from two "from" and "to" vectors
hi all,
how can I create sequences that start from a known vector, say x1 and end
with another say x2- also suppose all the sequences will be the same length.
I don't want to use a for loop
x1<-c(1,2,3,4); x2<-(3,4,5,6);
what I want is
1 2 3 4
2 3 4 5
3 4 5 6
Thanks

Xen with Longhorn August CTP Guest
I have a dual-processor, dual-core Opteron 265 system. It doesn''t have
DDR2, and along with what I can find on the web, I''m pretty sure it
doesn''t have Pacifica, so I can''t do full virtualization. Right now it
has Longhorn Server Build 5600 (August CTP) x64 on it. But I would like
to try out some virtualization stuff to try different os''s and to

VT built in?
Hi Xen team,
one short question before I grab the new machine of a colleague: did you
build Xen3 for Sid with VMX (virtualization with the newer
Vander...Pacifica)? Or will I have to build it myself?
Sorry for the direct mail to this list, but I'm not subscribed to
Debian-Users. Please CC me, as I'm also not subsribed here. Thx.
kind regards,
Wolfgang

Problems with Sunfire X2200
Hello all!
We are testing virtualization with two Sun X2200 M2 (2 x Opteron Dual Core)
with Xen (3.1.3, locally compiled, Debian etch), KVM (Debian Sid) and
Windows Virtual Server
(Windows 2003 Server). We have tried paravirtualization and also full
virtualization (Pacifica).
In all cases we have experienced problems regarding stability in the
systems,
specifically erratic lost of network

Intel VT-x & Xen
Hi All, Just curious if anyone is currently using Xen 3on any of the new Intel Xeon processors that support the VT-x extentions. With the VT-x (or AMD's Pacifica) you can run unmodified guest operating systems...so we are looking into buying a new server to run a few virtual machines of CentOS & a few with Windows. If anyone has done this, I would love to hear about their

Browse lists from other workgroups across subnets
I have problems to get browse lists from other workgroups across subnets.
On win95 network neighbourhood I have a complete list form all computers
in the same workgroup (including computers located on an other subnet) and
a workgroup list. But if I try to look at the computers on an other
workgroup I get an error message: workgroup not available.
The subnet has an samba server (2.0.3) configured

Chris,
I recommend you look into:
- Spacewalk: Centralized system management utility (
http://spacewalk.redhat.com/)
- Errata update tool:
https://github.com/mike-wendt/spacewalk-centos-errata
- CentOS repos do not include the errata information in the repo
itself (EPEL does include errata info in its repos), so others
have created
external tools that pull errata
