If I submit a form with lots of checkboxes using IE, rails, lighttpd (server on OSX Server, client on XP), then I get a "This page cannot be displayed" message from IE after some delay and nothing shows up in the rails or lighttpd logs. Forms without explicit enctype are submitted as application/x-www-form- urlencoded. This is the default behaviour in Rails. However, this enctype does not allow transmission of binary data (files).
