SMP kernel on Pent 4?
Had a Pent 4 server running fc3 crash (kernel panic) and am rebuilding
from scratch. I installed FreePBX (CentOs) from scratch and asterisk was
running, but had not yet been configured. It too crashed with a kernel
panic. Ran memtest for 24 hours; no errors or issues uncovered.
I then noticed that FreePBX installed using a SMP kernel (and grub
indicated a non-SMP kernel was installed as

Outdated Document - DOMAIN-CONTROL.txt
Dear Sir
I been reading through your (?) samba-doc folder on Debian 2.2.
The document DOMAIN-CONTROL.txt is dated 1996 and updated
1998. It mentions that SAMBA cannot be a PDC. This is not the
case anymore isn't it?
Thank you

Yes here's the fix from Thierry:
https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/263587/
and I can confirm that it does fix the Oops when applied on top
of next-20181206 (what I used for the bisection last week):

BDC nmblookup and net getlocalsid not working
Hi,
After lots of struggle and rtfm I finally got most things running, except
for 'nmblookup' and 'net getlocalsid' on the BDC. I'm not new to Samba, but
plenty more to learn. Here's the setup in summary:
system pdc is the PDC on subnet 192.168.0.0, running SuSE10.1, LDAP master,
wins server, domain master browser, no iptables;
system bdc is the BDC on subnet 192.168.2.0,

All correct in Localhost but impossible remote connection
Hello.
I have installed and configured succesfully samba in older Linux
computers in the past. But now I've just installed the SUSE10.0 distro
of Linux,
and I'm finding it impossible to access remotely to the samba server.
When I use smbclient from the same computer where I've got the Linux smb
server, I have no problem and I can
list the shares and succesfully login. But the

What's the substitution of 'samba-tool domain provision' in v4.17.5
> samba-tool domain: no such subcommand: provision
Are you sure there's no typo or hidden character? provision command is still there in 4.18.2 :)
# samba-tool domain provision
ERROR: No domain set!

Both for Debian and Ubuntu it's better to use Michael repos, to get consistent minor release updates:

Histogram binning
I am trying to produce frequencies in defined intervals however I can't seem
to figure out how to get R to bin my data the way I want it to.
I have several thousand lengths of fish that I want to be binned as follows:
Ex.
Length Bin
209 200
219 210
431 430

deriv - accessing numeric output listed under gradient attribute
Hi,
I am interested in using the numeric output from the "gradient" attribute of
deriv's output in subsequent analyses.
But, I have so far been unable to determine how to do so.
I will use the example from the deriv help to illustrate.
