Currently, there is only one application that is keeping me on Windows, and that is the TivoDesktop software that lets me DL episodes from my Tivo, and in conjunction with the DirectDump tool, allows me to convert those Tivo files to standard MPEG-2 files for editing. Hi folks, I've been using 'PBSmapping' to make a map of Europe with some labels. I've been using the 'worldLL' PolyData, as my computer is too slow to make my own from the GSHHS files. The only problem is this PolyData does not seem to include Ireland. I have no idea why this should be so, other European islands such as Sardinia etc. are included.

Hi! We're using Samba as PDC, and recently had a strange crash on the system (none of the NT-machines authenticated anymore). I re-created the user database and passwords on the server (TurboLinux 2.2.14-5, with Samba 2.0.6 & 2.1alpha for auth.) and also re-newed the profiles making 'em local on the NT-workstations. Sometimes when the NT-PC gets rebooted, I can't authenticate it
